  • im looking for a new machine currently and am REALLY tempted by these guys. https://www.ankermann-pc.co.uk

    Hi
These do look very good, its just that they are in Germany, but if you don't mind that, then they seem good value and you get a 2yr warranty with every system.

Phone dell up and just ask for some info on the system you're after, they'll give you the money off the system if you said you wanted to do it online through a cashback site (i said quidco @5% and they said it would be £33 off so offered me £50 off to go through phone).

They also gave me double memory and 3 years warranty for £74 (less than the cost of upgrading to 2gig of ram) instead of being £225!

Just keep mentioning that you didn't really want to spend over £xxx amouont and they'll do whatever they can to get the sale so usually throw stuff in/lower price etc.
    Lost lbs =
Gained £s = Quidco £261.90, Free Fivers £22.26, Matched Betting

Thats a cracking idea. The only problem with getting a dell is the graphics cards they offer are rubbish.
  • Hi
I have the Dell 5150, with a 256mb Radeon X600 series graphic card, in a pci-e express slot.
Now, I agree its probably not the best graphic card in the world, but it plays all my games very well, and even Oblivion, which is very graphic demanding and if you have seen it you'll know that the graphics are amazing.

The thing is, I wouldn't not buy a pc just because of the graphics card, as it's so easy to upgrade to a better one at a later date.

I've had the 5150 for almost a year now, very quiet machine and does the job. And there's no problem with upgrades as it doesn't invalidate the warranty, so you can do whatever you want to it.

    Hope this helps
  • Oblivion is an amazing game (Graphics wise). I was going to buy a dell untill i saw these guys. https://www.ankermann-pc.co.uk picked up a beast of a machine much cheaper then dell too :) Glad the dell graphics card does the job for you!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
So if you have a problem do you have to post the PC back to them
  • yeah that is the only downside i can see to it. But your still ahead on the price even should you have to send it back once. Probably about 20 quid to post it back?
