                    Hi all.
I read on here somewhere that Dell would be doing some of its offers in August. I think it was said to be to increase sales or end of year.
Does anybody know if this is true?
If so when will they appear?
I`ve looked on http://www.dmxdimension.com/ and although there are good deals, they don`t appear to be super good. Theres none on the grabbit board.
Thanks

I saw a dell offer in the paper for a laptop yesteday and was an excellent deal.
 £519
 1.6 duo processor
 80gb HD
 1024 Ram
 15.4 widescreen
Just a rough idea. I was looking for a laptop that spec last month on dell and it was £650. Great saving for a nice little laptop.
Just checked their web and cannot see the deal, must be one of those paper evalue codes.0

            Dell advertised offers --> http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/tv/advertised?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs0

I noticed they dropped the price on one I posted here at the weekend.
However it said half price delivery/shipping.
Best thing to do with dell is wait for double bubble time, when they double r.a.m. double HD capacity and offer it free delivery.
I would also find a discount voucher for purchasing it on-line.
Everyone wants a bargain the more you can squeeze the better as they know their profit margins and won't sell at a loss.0

Sorry, I forgot to say I`m looking for a desktop for a friend where his main requirement apart from basic tasks is video editing. I`m thinking dual processor, 1 gig memory, 200 gig hard drive etc.
I`ve seen this through Dell http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=D08511&fb=1 with possible upgrades to the monitor i.e £35 to the ultra sharp 17 or possibly £58 to the basic 19 inch monitor. The X300 graphics card upgrade over the onboard is good value at £35. For the writers it will be cheaper to buy aftermarket or even use his old drives (although beige, cans still use an adaptor though).
 What do you guys think?
Any better suggestions? Alternative spec or suppliers? Wait for better offers?

Are there any new Dell offers for August as stated on a previous post that I now can`t find?0

Or would people wait to see what happens because of the duo core processors? Dell have already substantially reduced there prices because of this.0

im looking for a new machine currently and am REALLY tempted by these guys. https://www.ankermann-pc.co.uk
going to get the amd 64 dual core starting at 3450

After reading you post about the x600 I had a look at Ankermann, they seem very well priced and very customisable. I posted again in the the I wanna forum to see if I`d get a better response, I suppose my heading is not very appropriaete to what I want. Anyway back to looking and hoping someone will post some great deals for more comparison.0

This is a bump in the hope that someone will be about during the early hours who are into their systems!0
