Cancelling contract outside period

Hey guys
recently got a phone via mobiles.co.uk and connected to O2.
Mobiles.co.uk have a 7 day cooling off period (O2 themselves have a 14 day period). I had to return my phone as it was faulty and since it was over the Easter period I was without my phone for a few days.
I have now noticed that some of the features available on the phone (SE Vivaz) cannot be used with O2 (e.g. iPlayer app can only be via Wi-Fi unless you are with Voda or Three, and also You Tube app has similar problem) and so I want to cancel my contract.
I have physically had the phone for 13/14 days but contract has been running for about 19 days. I've emailed O2 and Mobiles but just wondered if anyone thinks I have any hope or am I stuck for 18 months now?
I feel it will be the latter!!!

You are pretty much stuck, as your ouside the 7 day window. You may have had more luck if you'd cancelled it within the 7 day window after you get the replacment.
For what it's worth I'm on Vodafone (different phone, X1 by Sony Erricson) and iplayer won't work over Vodafone either, only Wifi.0
