First Time Buyer with Natwest Advice

Hi
My name is Jonathan and I have had an offer accepted on a 2 bed massionette with my Girlfriend
However we have gone with Natwest for the mortgage and getting to the stage of arranging a survey is taking much longer than we thought.
The offer was made on Easter Saturday. Applied for Mortgage on the Tuesday after and now am still waiting on Natwest to sort out the Valuation and survey.
We are worried as the estate agent is asking us what is taking so long.
Any advice would be great!
