    The new regs came into effect on or around Jan 1st 2005.

    In some cases you could say that it was fitted Before the new regs came in but- Some electrical equipment such as cable/ switches and showers could be stamped with the manufacturing date!

    In My Opinion the Electrician is at fault here as 90% of people have never even heard of Part P, only people that regularly go into DIY forums etc and trades professionals are aware of it.

    The NICEIC amazes me- it is a registered charity but it makes planty of money to pay the directors etc. I wonder if the directors of the NICEIC "lend money to the Labour party"??????
