I'd say that it's her loss. She'll never know you for the wonderful, caring & supportive friend that you are.
Buffy, i know how you feel. I've never been close to any of my family - including my mum - who only told me a couple of weeks about that she's becoming a Australian citizen, the ceremony is in Aug and my sister is going out to it. I wasn't asked if i wanted to attend.

I've got friend who i would turn to before i would tourn to family, as they are the only people how i know i can rely on - sad, isn't it.

Thanks Ladies. I find families so hard. practically in tears here and they are about to arrive really thank you so much xxxxxx

    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

    Hi all

Bit discombobulated at the moment as I'm now not sure whether I'll actually be flying out to HK tomorrow night as planned :(

Am just keeping an eye on the BBC news website to see whether it might improve.

No flights till 6am SS. Then presumably the plane may be in the wrong place :( But you don't know, they might have most of it sorted by 6pm!

Also, could the ash cloud be affecting my telly?[/QUOTE]

If you've got Jimmy Stewart on with a guy called Clarence and a load of snow - you're watching a wonderful life. If you've just got the snow that might be ash!

Hello all,it's a good day-I just found on old friend last seen 20yrs ago , on FB!!
Ran this morning, but knee really painful,so iced and elevated for 45mins when I got back, and feeling ok now...might have to give tomorrows run a miss though-any ideas all you experienced runners??

    .

SRM its best to train, then rest, train then res. So if you've ran this morning, don't run again till Saturday. If you feel the desperate urge to work a part of your body then do weights on your arms, push ups and sit ups. Let your leg muscles have a chance to recover. There seems to be a concensus amongst sports scientists that Eddie Izzard has probably irretrevably f****d his body up with his multiple marathons!

I think you need to give the muscles a day to recover and to give a chance to work the lactic acid out. If you have a look on the race for life website they will have training schedules up there that you can adapt. I wouldn't say I was an experienced runner but this is the principle I have always followed! It's the main reason you have a short run and then a 2-3 day break before a marathon/half marathon.
