Virgin router

I'm joining up with Virgin Cable Broadband and my wireless router is going to be put on the main computer downstairs. It's going to be 10MB speed and I just wanted to know if the connection would be as strong upstairs on my other computer as it would be downstairs where the router will be.

It depends on so many factors like distance, thickness of walls, interference from other RF items like DECT phones etc. A wireless connection will never be as good as wired but it can be perfectly acceptable.
You could always use Homeplugs to carry the connection from your router to upstairs PC through electrical connections.0
