Any plans to include some people's stories - i.e. 'This is how I got in debt', and then how they managed to get out of it and turn their lives around?

Like a case study type thing?

When I first joined the site and wrote up my story people said I should send it into a magazine to get some cash but if you're looking for case studies then I'd rather donate it to the book as a good cause!

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=159868

If you're interested in doing this kind of thing I can post an update to the end of the thread about what we eventually ended up doing and how we helped ourselves to trim £500 a month off our outgoings in order to stay afloat.

    Cheers

    James

Wicked idea Martin - I've been thinking for ages there should be a DFW book! The best thing about these forums is the feeling that you're not alone - please try to make sure you keep that sense in the book, as reading a book alone is a very different experience from posting on here and that'll affect how useful the tips are to people.

What I wanna know is if they will be released in a special trilogy edition ;) And pleeeease can we get our ones signed Martin? Please please please? :) (They could be worth money one day you know!!!!)
    Fab idea tho :)
A chapter with just "DFW advice from those who have "been there and done it""?

Like 'The Lord of the Coins' you mean? ;)

    The Fellowship of the DFWs?
Two thrifty Ways for Modern Days? (That was lame I know!)
Return of The Money Diet (2nd Edition)?

Can't wait to read both the new ones! 2007 is a long time though, will have to start a new countdown for it! Mind you, may be debt free by then, will have to buy it as a treat for myself when I am!

Grand idea, as there are probably more peopls in debt that not in this country at the moment. Before you know it you will be "OUT" of the "IN" crowd if you are not a DFW, I see us taking over the world. I also think it would sell really well, all those spendaholics in book shops will buy it and hopefully become as addicted to saving as we all are. Also 2007 may seem forever away but the chances are most of us will still be here hopefully coming to the end of our slog as dfw.
