Lurlene - The opposite end of devon to me!!

Devon Cliffs is by FAR the best Haven i have been to! It is only just over an hour from me but we still love to go there. I have yet to go to a haven with a better swimming pool. Great entertainment too. I hope you have a great weekend. I hope the weather is warm enough that the outdoor pools are usuable for you. Though even if they arent the indoor pool is awesome for all ages!!

lol i sound like a haven rep!

    Have fun!!!

Thanks Littlekel - that's very reassuring! Having experienced the horror that is Pontins I am always a bit nervous about going somewhere new, but this sounds lovely x
  • Hi All,
Well I fell off the DFW wagon quite spectacularly today. I got off to a great start
    • Posted Green Metropolis Sold Book
    • Left a load of stuff at an Ebay seller to sell for me
    • Took the kids to toddler group (Free)
    • Took all of the coins laying around my house in various pots into Tesco and used the Coinstar machine, which gave me £21 to use for the essentials
    Then it went downhill!
    • Was hungry when I shopped so ended up buying £32 instead of £21.
    • Passed a beggar in the street who had a little boy with him, who was about the same age as my own little boy, and so I handed him £1 and took a packet of Jelly Tots out of my bag for the kid. (my kids wont ever miss them)
    • Was on the road home and saw lovely flowers outside a florist and stopped and bought some for my MIL (Yesterday was a tough day for her as it was the anniversary of her first borns still birth and I felt for her)
    • Hubby rang to say my car needed a tyre for MOT. (TOMORROW!!) and so I had to go and get a tyre. DH said he could only afford £30 and had me traipsing around the town looking for someone who would do it for that price. Of course this was not possible and I ended up paying £38
    • Took a wrong turn in town and drove 10 miles in the wrong direction before I realised I was wrong.
So I am home now and bought some waterbombs so I can take the kids outside to play with those for some cheap fun.

I also agree about Devon Cliffs!!! :j

We have had a few breaks there, its lovely, beautiful views, great swimming pool, the DDs absolutely love it. (though DH always says he wants to throttle Rory the Tiger by the end of it....:rotfl:)

The Country Life Museum (next to the park) is a fabulous day out too, there is loads to do there; museum, animals, indoor play, big slides, take a goat for a walk, you get the idea!

I love Exmouth and the surrounding area, I come from there, my grandmother (my mums mum) lived in a gorgeous house right by the sea, I used to spend all my school holidays there!
My other gran (my dads mum) still lives there, in Littleham, just down the road from Devon Cliffs!

Have a lovely time Lurleene, wish I was going!!

    Hi all

I'm hoping to manage a few things today:
    • All meals from stores
    • Yoga later to keep me on the straight and narrow - have already paid this so it's 'free' tonight
