Yet, this seller 'glashussam' who I have reported numerous times is allowed to continue to spam up the pages with his mobile phone applications that are supplied on DVDR media.

What's wrong with selling software on DVDR media?
Is it that you think he doesn't have the rights to sell the software?0 -

Try reporting him as not being registered as a business as well, although he could be subject to the glitch that appears to be hiding the business sellers status in some cases.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Even in obvious cases, the normal reporting method just does not work. For some reason, the T&S team ignore the rule about sale of software on recordable media.
It is difficult enough when the seller is foolish enough to identify that the item is supplied on CDR or DVDR but will be almost impossible if they omit this information
Try sending a message to eBay - use the Subject: False or missing contact information This option permits you to add a proper message, not just an item number.State clearly in the message that the seller is broaching the recordable media rule and add some proof.

I like the way he does 1 day listings, knowing ebay take at least a day to remove listings, and as they only look at the listing reported, he gets away with it. Quite admire him really, almost as good as some of my work arounds

I'm not surprised. If they strictly enforced it then even selling computer games would be disallowed. I can't see how any software at all could be sold. What a stupid rule (which I was totally unaware of).SpammyTheSpammer wrote: »For some reason, the T&S team ignore the rule about sale of software on recordable media.0 -
No, it is there to prevent sellers from copying legal software onto CD-R or DVD-R discs and then selling it with titles like "PC CD-ROM- NEW".
This piracy causes increased costs for those of us who do not like buying virus infested, non-working rubbish.I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
It's one thing to prevent selling pirated software, and another to prevent *any* software being sold on CD or DVD (etc) media. With the current rule, if enforced, even selling Linux distro's would be against the rules. Its a "catch all" rule which would affect so many legitimate sales if it were enforced, so it's a good job really that they don't appear to be enforcing it.0
