The strange thing about this is I hardly ever shop in Sainsbury and its usually clothes as our local Sainsbury has a whole floor of clothes . So I don't understand why they send me vouchers but I'm not complaining as I do my weekly shop in Mr.T and had £4 off my shop for 4 wks , can't be bad...

That's exactly why they send you the vouchers to encourage you to shop there!
And Tesco take them because they don't want you to shop at Sainsbury's!
I used a £16.00 of £80 shop in Tesco last week no problem.

I just can't imagine doing this, would tesco take a Sainsbury 10 pounds of 50 pound spend ?

My Tesco certainly would, as per its signs outside. Can't hurt to ask in yours!! :)

Slightly off topic but hopefully someone can come up with the answer.

Please accept my apologies if this has appeared on another thread.

Due to advice recived on this web site, for some time I have used Iceland £5 off £50 and £2.50 off £25 in my local Tesco. It has been a really good saving.

Last week my local Tesco told me that they have stopped taking them.

Is this a national Tesco decision or is it just up to local store manager?

I don't really know the answer to your question, other than to try at other stores but can I ask where you get the Iceland coupons from as I often shop in there and have never seen any. Thanks

I get mine through the post. You have to have a bonus card and get it swiped when you pay for your shopping, then every now and then they send you money off vouchers.

OOps, sorry. I provided duff information.

The vouchers are for Farm Foods and they come through the door in a leaflet drop attached to the leaflet. They appear regularly every two months because previously when I had used my last one hey presto! a fresh leaflet with vouchers attached was delivered.

Silly me, confusing Iceland with Farm Foods. My user name says it all!

I think it is a nationwide policy now because I have seen it posted that no stores will accept the Farm Foods vouchers now.
