Frankie and bennys

Just got back from frankie and bennys , we went their as a treat for the kids. I was wondering if anybody knows how i can make a complaint as while the food their was not bad , we found a napkin in our 2 year old sons drink after he had drank most of it , we told the manageress who apologised and changed it only for our other two childrens drinks to have to be changed as they found bits of napkin in theirs. When my husband went to pay for the meal the manageress seemed to avoid my husband by getting a waiter who was passing by to take payment while she made a quick exit. Its only on the way home that it occured to us that it could have been a used napkin this has left us feeling sick to the stomach and worrying about the fact our children drank these drinks. My husband and i have worked in various positions throughout the catering industry and have never come across what we feel is a serious breach of basic hygiene. Any advice off anyone would be gratefully recieved

Yes. Keep an eye on your family's health over the next few days, and if anything unusual appears, visit your doctor.jillypants wrote: »Any advice off anyone would be gratefully recieved0 -
Control your children so that they dont put bits of napkins in drinks.
Sorry but your claim is ridicolous. Would you not have noticed this at all given you claim one was a full napkin? More likely to me your kids were fidgeting
As for the next bit. The manager is there to manage the venue, not take payments and serve etc so I dont think them managing their staff to take a payment is grounds for complaint.0 -
Now now you 2, the OP is a newbie so be gentle0

Newbie or not the whole thing sounds like a load of rubbish!0 -
I was in Frankie and Benny's on Saturday (they do nice burgers!!), and got sat next to a kiddies parties. I could not even identify the range of floating objects in their drinks!
Looking at it logically, how on earth would a bit of napkin possibly get into a drink?? Are you 100% sure your kids didn't put it in the drink?
Personally, I wouldn't bother complaining, as they did replace the drinks.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Sorry but it is not a load of rubbish the thing i want to complain to frankie's and bennys about is the napkin in the bottom of my sons drink not that the manageress did not take payment from us , the drink my children had is called nibbles tipple which is a glass of fresh orange and cranberry juice topped up with lots of ice hence the napkin not being noticed until he nearly finished the drink as it was under a lot of ice. I only came on here to see if anyone had any advice. I wish the kids had put the napkin in the drink as it would put my mind to rest but the napkin was white and the ones on our table were green and red.0

You found some white napkin in a kids drink (these are drink napkins so no reason to assume they were dirty) and you got an apology AND free replacement drinks? What else do you expect?0
