SKY HD Problems

I have been having huge issues with Sky, my long term Sky + box went bang at the end of February, I joined Sky protect to get a service visit, the first replacement, a Thomson HD box lasted three days, the next, again a Thomsons box has lasted 5 weeks. Both times they have assured me it's a grade A box. This time I have said I want a new box and they have refused. I have now cancelled my Sky in disgust but really want a way back in, any thoughts? Do they have a retentions department who I might be able to persuade?

There is an inherent PSU problem with Thomson HD (inter alia) boxes. The capacitors on the PSU need to be replaced.

Don't waste your money on any repair plans, but do get the box repaired. See the sticky at the top of page for a repairer near you.
