My laptop is running Windows Vista.
I've been getting regular blue screen crashes immediately after loading windows for a while now and the only thing I can make out from the screen full of text is btwaudio.sys and
...there is a paged error in an unpaged area????? and words at the bottom of the screen informing me the disk is dumping!!!!
Doesn't happen all the time, but causes frequent consecutive dumps when it does raise it's ugly head?!!
Is this a virus?
Any idea how to cure my problem?...Thanks

right just a read up http://dllinfo.dll-free-download.org/b/16907-btwaudio.sys.html
basically is a bluetooth driver i would suggest unistalling it then use a registry cleaner programme then redownload a fresh copy reinstall.
for reg cleaner i use http://www.pctools.com/registry-mechanic/ but there others out there
also wouldn't hurt to get malwarebytes
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ma..._anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and go to UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated go to SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
once all done it will tell you what rubbish you got on your system and ask to delete it etc0 -
Thanks for the reply. How do you uninstall a driver? - have only ever removed a program!Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0

You need to goto device manager
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Device-Manager
RIGHT CLICK the device then uninstall the driver
I personally wouldnt touch that particular registry cleaner
Id use CCLEANER (far safer)
Download CCLEANER (When installing UNTICK 'Add ccleaner YAHOO TOOLBAR...')
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks):idea:0 -
Been busy lately so not got on top of this issue yet!!
.....Computer still doing same, went into device manager but not sure how to find this driver to remove it?? Don't recognise anything there which indicates it is bluetooth??......HELP?!

start
control panel
goto your 'device manager' will list all hardware look for an item with a yellow triangle as a possiabilty if is not working correctly highlight it then right click of mouse then left 'properties' select driver tab then at bottom click unistall tab0 -
Believe it or not.....I didn't get to the bottom of this at the time I posted OP.... suppose because I'd bought a new Mac which, IMHO, is much better than Microsoft and left the problem just drift.....
........There are certain things I still have to rely on my Vista Lappie for so I"m willing to have another stab at getting this sorted, if I can?!
Have gone into device manager as recommended - I found Microsoft 6t04 network adapter was the only device with a yellow warning sign against it, clicked on driver tab and then chose option - update driver, which has come back with message "The best driver software for your device is already installed" windows has determined the driver software for your device is up-to-date????!!!!!!
Anyone know what this network adapter refers to?
Is it safe for me just to uninstall it?
What action do I take then, to put things straight again?

It seems it could be your bluetooth software
Do you use it? Can you uninstall it if you dont?
Its by "Broadcom Corporation" assuming it is the bluetooth:idea:0 -
Unsure if it is broadcom corporation. How does one tell?
Not sure if turning off bluetooth would upset anything DD does on this computer, don't think I normally use it tho.
Have tried all your suggestions from previous post in April again e.g. used CCleaner, still misbehaving!Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0
