Unbelievable, Opera Mini web browser is on iPhone Now

Apple first time allow someone who will be competitor for them. Opera is 6 times faster than safari. try to use.

search from app store 'Opera mini' then download and enjoy it.

Opera is the one won the battle against Microsoft IE, May be Apple considered about that.

Look and feel not as good as Safari but lightning fast and saves a lot of bandwidth.

Unlike Safari, Opera can save your passwords - but no-one seems to know how or where so it is probably not secure enough to truest those passwords to.

Opera is FREE for iPhone / iPod Touch so the price is definitely right.
If anyone tries it, let us all know if it can render Flash sites!

Thanks for this tip, I have installed Opera on both iPhone and laptop.

Opera Mini is much faster than Safari, and Opera proper is much faster than Firefox - my mouse pad seems much more responsive (?!) which is amazing as it's been annoying me since I got this laptop. :j

Unless I am doing something wrong there seems to be a bug in Opera Mini when linking the speed dial, the link is changing but not the icon/ picture IYSWIM. :huh:

It is fast, but I won't be using it as a replacement for Safari. Pages aren't as easy to navigate as the zooming feature isn't as good as the one in Safari. It also renders smaller text as squiggles that you have to zoom in to read.

Also, all your data is sent to Opera before it is sent to your phone. So if you visit your bank's website, it's cached on Opera's servers. In fact, if you visit any encrypted web page, Opera's servers play piggy in the middle, and decrypt all your encrypted content before encoding it in their proprietary markup and sending it back to you.

So if you really like Opera, I still wouldn't suggest using it on the iPhone for anything sensitive.
