Honestly, I nip out to the midwife and miss all the fun!
All fine at the mw, heartbeat was 152-160, though she had been prodding and poking! finally got my hipg form which I then filled in whilst drinking a massive caramel creme frappucinno and eating a scone - the irony was not lost on me! Bit of a problem then in that somewhere between M&S and home my water bottle leaked all over and the envelope with form in and my mat notes ended up a bit wet...just stuck it in the post box anyway, fingers crossed it's readable! I'll chase in a few weeks if it hasn't gone in!
Pizza and salad for dinner here, can't say I'm hungry after my pig out but DH is so I'll get on with it!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Thanks Fuzz. I called my local Peacocks and they have some in stock. I was 32B/C before I got pregnant and am now 34C/D, but I have been eating a lot more and I know the increase in ribcage size is fat. I'm not sure whether to go for 34 or 36?0

My SIL just had a baby in Leicester, I wonder if she donated... Will have to ask my brother...
which hospital in leicester I am due to have my c-section at leicester royal infirmary - would love to know how she found it if same hospital0 -
Curry is en route!!!!!!!!!:j:D
Thanks Krystal..when you mention the triple test, is that the one for DS?
I had the combined blood and screening test at my 12 wk scan and have thankfully had a low risk result (1 in 44,000!!!).
So maybe at this 16 week one they'll just ask me a few questions and tell me what AN appointments I'll have going forward?
Re bra's - I'm normally a 34B, but my bra's are getting a bit tight, so was thinking I may treat myself to a couple of new C cups one"s tomorrow. Nursing bra's I have no clue about..are those one's which open up at the cup so you can feed the baby? I'm not sure freebie, it's the one she works in lol... She found it good as far as I know and they loved their consultant. Apparently she was really empathetic and even walked her to theatre with her arm round her... She has a few medical problems and baby was breech so she went for an elective CS in the end but she had him on the Wednesday and was home on the Friday night (although not till 10pm which I thought was a bit rare...) but when I speak to my bro next I'll ask him...
It would also seem they don't routinely mention donating the cord blood because bro had no idea just when I asked him...
MV, yes the triple (although I think it might be quadruple now?) test checks for downs and some other things... But I suppose if you're in an area that does the nuchal and combined screening it's probably irrelevant... Ours don't do NT or check for soft tissue markers... But then it's like a conveyor belt, you go in and lie down, they scan you and turf you out... No pleasantries or explanations... Just one of the reasons I'm only having the 2 main scans...
And nursing bras have drop cups for speedy access

Hi all,
I am expecting in 7 weeks and am after a bit of advice re how many disposable nappies it's worth stocking up on. I've been keeping my eye out for special offers and money off coupons and wondered if anyone has any idea how many nappies we're likely to need in each size? Obviously it will be hard to pinpoint the newborn ones exactly as we don't know the birth weight so for how long they will fit in size 1, but any opinions and rough ideas very gratefully received.
Thanks for any help you can offer, and wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies.

Thankyou I used to work at leicester royal infirmary for a short period of time - did not enjoy the place. Also had a gynae op there about 6yrs ago and not great experience.
Not heard anything bad about maternity services there and my experiences so far have been good other than waiting over an hr for consultant appointments. My elective c-section is in 3wks, will ask about cord blood donation at my pre-op appointment.0 -

Thanks Fuzznot sure if they'll have my size as I think I'm 38E atm. My rib cage has expanded from 34 to 38 since being pregnant! I searched my local Peacocks and couldn't find any!
Jenid: Re: nappies. I've only bought 2 packs of size 1 and 2 packs of size 2. I'm considering reuseables, but have bought disposables with vouchers and not many to encourage me to go out with the baby once it's born.0
