I know no one will love me anymore after this but I don't actually want this pregnancy to end. I love being pregnant. Although I did just try to give myself a C-Section on the door latch....oww.

I don't ache, i'm not swollen, I can walk. The only thing I'm not loving is the strech marks I've got
:j:j:j thank god for that:) Me too! Admittedly not as far along as you but still.....:D
I actually feel a litle guilty that I've had it so easy so far:o at 26+5 I've had no swellings, infections, sickness(just the 5ish weeks of MS early on) and certainly no panics..well only if baby doesn't move enough for my liking which is VERY rare, even as I type bubs is pummelling my insides, only goes quiet when I'm eating:)

ETA: Smartie hope alls ok and PP I hope you've got a bed and are giving everyone hell :D

Big letters in my notes highlighted in glowing pen THIS LADY NEEDS URGENT SCAN with today's date. It was "all sorted" by the midwives and doc in delivery suite on Tues.

Get to hosp. We're (shockingly) the only people there waiting. Get seen by midwife for blood pressure and pulse is sky high. She asked about what's been going on so had to tell her I've been in and out of delivery suite etc etc. Goes off for blood test results. Double check with her that I NEED A SCAN

A couple comes out of scan room then consultant calls us in. We sit next to scanner.

Him "why are you here" (yet again a complete failure to read notes) Had to point out everything in my notes to him.

Him "well you're not booked in for scan" I point out again it says I need URGENT scan.

Apparently the midwife from delivery suite didn't make the appointment "properly" for the scan!!!!! Huh??? And although we were sitting less than a metre from scan machine and NOBODY was waiting consultant said another appointment had to be made!!!???

Consulatant takes us to reception and says I need an URGENT scan appointment and asks why it all wasn't done properly in 1st place. Receptionist says there are no appoinments left whatsoever.

By this time I'm in tears, absolutly fuming that we've gone for no reason whatsoever (not the 1st time) and I say this to them.

So we now have an "URGENT" scan on weds, then have to go back next day for consultant.:mad::mad:

Oh and that's not all!!! Some papers were left in my notes for consultant to read saying I need an urgent blood transfusion. I didn't see it til I got home. Yet another thing that has been overlooked.

I'm just not going to bother with the stupid place anymore.

    Sorry for long ranty post:o

Delain, can i ask where you found the 40% off voucher please?

They emailed it to me, I'll see if I can dig it up. It was a week or so ago, it's only taken so long because the bank declined my card the first time!

    Hello lovely ladies and bumps.

Just popping in to say hi and that if any of you live near a Wilko's pick up a few of the Lil-let sanitary towels they have on offer for 24p. I used the night ones just after I had the fishfinger and they were a lot more comfy and cheaper than maternity pads. A lot cheaper too!!!

Shut up! It's so unfair some people have it so easy. I hate being pregnant, its a good thing I know its all worth it in the end. As soon as my feet seem to have gone back to normal I start getting sciatica grrr. Got it with both the other pregnancies too but not till further along. I think that my job requires alot more physical activity than in my other pregnancies I'm feeling it too and being home all day with the kids and going to work is more exhausting at the moment than normal - shall I go on or just shut up myself lol. Sersiously though it is nice to hear some are actually enjoying the experience I wish I could too x

Smartie I can't believe your hospital especially with noone waiting grrr. I was sent for a scan at 17 weeks when the midwife couldn't find the heartbeat, no appointment got there and was seen within 20 mins - the hospital were brilliant.

Hope everything went ok yesterday for durham girl and hopefully pigpen is getting seen properly too.

I'm off on holiday for a week tomorrow, nothing fancy just caravan with the kids. I'm in the process of packing everything including the kitchen sink. Took out all our spending money so we can't go over budget for it, really looking forward to it. Hope everyone has a good week x
  • Just thought id post, im a lurker really :o
Oh im near the top of the list now :T not that it means anything though
Ive only got a few days to go but nothing is happening yet
After all the panic about baby coming early, loads of appointments and jabs to stop early labour this baby wants to be stubborn :( typical
Ive had an easy pregnancy really and even though im full term im not that big - im hoping baby is but i doubt it, ive not had much niggles just heartburn really so ive been lucky
Just want my baby now *stamps feet*

oh Smartie how annoying. Why don't they read notes, it's so frustrating. I found that with the endocrinologist for my PCOS, though the consultant was good it was just the registrar who was awful. Sounds like he was just being pig headed too! big hugs. xxx

I really can't be bothered today, have a meeting at 3 which will be like pulling teeth but at least when I get out of there the weekend starts. I am trying to do brainless stuff like updating the website today...no doubt I'll make some stupid mistake!

    Hello everyone!

Haven't posted in ages but have been reading the thread several times a day. Just to update that I am still here and am booked in for an induction tomorrow.:( Induction was one of my worst nightmares but I'm trying not to get too upset about it but it's hard not to be anxious. I have to wait until 6pm tomorrow evening as well before going in so it's going to be a very long saturday!

Good luck, tell baby to get a move on tonight! DS went by himself the morning of the threatened induction, so there is still time yet :)
