Courgette - I'm an RH and you've now got me totally intrigued as to who it is. I've got caught up in adding FB friends, and now can't remember people's 'real' name :o

I have a q before I catch up with todays antics!!

I bit the bullet and bought the doppler - however, I cant find the heartbeat and I'm a bit miffed (I'm not worried) - I've read the reviews and some do say they take a bit of getting used to but I'm too impatient for 'getting used to' - lol

So, stupid question alert, where exactly should I be prodding with the probe?

    tt

My doppler arrived today so been having a play - I am 21 weeks and my baby tends to hide low down, a bit lower down than my belly button. Did take a while to find earlier as the lirrle tinker kept moving and hiding.

Has anyone had to have Heparin injections during their pregnancy? Been to see the consultant today and he says I'll have to have them from 3rd trimester. He was trying to reassure me that it's a tiny needle and I won't feel a thing, but I'm sooooo not looking forward to having to having to jab myself every day :( Has anyone had these and can tell me it's really not as bad as I think it's going to be?!

yes sadly I've been on these injections since 8 weeks and will continue to have them twice a day until six weeks after I've had baby.
They aren't much fun but you do get used to them, you will probably get terrible bruising and some lumps where the needle has been but this is normal so don't panic if you get them.

Courgette, duh, I remembered you said your initials elsewhere. Yes I do know her - so long as the initials are MKA - she used to be the assistant manager where I work, until the manager was just too hideous to her and she went and got a better job. She's lovely isn't she?

Ethelsmum, cute that you're little one felt baby. What did he make of it?

MKA is the one, and yes, super lovely. Now, I used to work with her ...

Tigtag, I teach "in a Secondary school". I was just looking at your daughter's prom pics in her lovely pink dress but it looks as though you live in Bram, I teach in Pud

Tigtag how far gone are you ? Im 25 weeks and usually find the heart beat somewhere around my belly button before then it would be lower down i do have to have a good fiddle about though and sometimes push it in a little :-)

Thanks lolly - I'm only 13 weeks - I was really losing my rag with the damn thing earlier and almost chucked it out the window (I am THE most impatient person ever) - anyhoo, OH managed to find it, quite a bit higher up than I expected tbh so probably why I struggled!!

Still trying to come to terms with the fact he can do something I cant :rotfl:
