Smartie - Hope DS recovers soon. It'll work out in the end it always does.
Delain - Hope your ok too.
Dream - lol at your bum. Sorry to laugh

Can I ask a question to the ladies who knew that the baby was breech at any point as i dont remember with mine years ago...Did you know it was breech because of having a scan or did the midwife tell you so after a quick feel. Im a bit dubious about the midwife feeling bit as they often cant tell an ar*se from a head. I've not been told this ones breech but I dont feel "right". I cant tell you why I dont..I just dont. Its not like me at all. I measured 32 weeks at 31 weeks although I and the midwife wasnt bother by that ( i think its a load of codds wallop anyway) but this time im huggggeeeeeee and a funny shape.
  • suzy last week i was convinced mine had flipped round and was breech, due to the mahoosive turn and weird shape of my tummy, ive also had a lot more movement aswell, but the doc says he is still head down, im a bit dubious also. i just dont feel the same anymore and theres no pressure on my bladder whatsoever. the hospital said they check at the 35 week appointment the babys position as they dont like first timers doing a breech, so if he is theyll book me in for a section. i was under the impression they would do a scan to double check, to save all the hassel of getting booked in etc.

I found out mine was breech at 25 wks when we went for the private scan the midwife never really got chance to tell which way up she was though so i cant say weather she would have picked it up or not although when she moved to an oblique position she new exactly where the head was compared to the bum as when she put the doppler on me she actually said "if im right the heart beat will be here" and it was. I felt a little strange too but couldnt quite put my finger on why. You may just be carrying a big one chick in which case he/she would be running out of room. My last one was big and my bump always looked square instead of round and this one i always seems to have a lump sticking out on the right hand side and she is measuring big now as well but is thankfully the right way up :-) x

I say he out of habit BUT there was a lady showing consultant (who's new and seems ok) how to use the scan machine and she said "he" and "his" a few times so I asked the consultant if she could see the sex but said no. DH had said there's no point in knowing now so asking was a bit cheeky;):D

I have been in agony for weeks and weeks up by my ribs and boobs but midwife kept saying it's just one of those PG pains AND every single time she felt bubs position she said head down. Her and student midwife BOTH said head down the day before I had scan last weds... and scan showed breech!:rotfl:

It does all make sense now!! If you look at my bump you can make out where he's lying and I knew the pain I was/am in wasn't normal feet in ribs pain - it's the head pushing right up.

Midwife still admits it feels like head down even though she obviously knows it's not!! Thankgoodness I am poorly and had to have an urgent scan or I would of just assumed midwife was right!!

HAS ANYONE ANY EXPERIENCE OF ECV PLEASE???

Although I'm determined to get this baby shifted over the weekend!;)

Thanks ladies. Its helpful to get other peoples feedback.

I dont know why we worry about anything really as I KNOW it always works out in the end. Im not worried about having a breech baby, I just feel pants but then again I think Im comparing this pregnancy to carrying my girl last year. Its totally different and different than carrying my other boys.

Smartie sorry no experience here although Ive heard off some people it hurts and other say it doesnt. All I would say is try to relax about it. difficult I know but I do think that helps rather than waiting for pain Iygwim
