How to get rid of flys?

Mike - I have a serious problem with using fly spray, for environmental and personal reasons.
I just don't understand why they are still there? Theres nothing for them to feed on, and any eggs would have been swept/cleaned up.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -

I read somewhere they don't like mint. Maybe get a load of that and put about the room, will make it smell nice if it doesn't do anything else!!0

I don't know about mint but our fly problem in the kitchen reduced when i bought a Basil herb pot.
You could also try burning a citronella candle.Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!0 -

use fly spray- open all windows- ensure door remains closed so they don't fly into other parts of house- have strong words with builders!0

Someone once told me that the best way to get rid of a fly is to ask it to leave the room nicely I have tried this several times and it seems to work!
But then I speak fly because i am one! bzzzz bzzzzz......Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -
LOL
Thanks for all the tips.
They have now all gone or died, but the floor is covered in fly bodies and crusty dead maggots (shudder)
That'll be a job for the OH.
We have the same builders in next week to finish it and do some other work so I'll be giving them a stern telling off! (and maybe make them less cups of tea..lol!)Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
they hate the smell of lavender, so a lavender oil burner will work. Also get one of the blue light zappers, they were in aldi last week not sure how much though!!
