AOL uninstall completely painless

We switched over from AOL to SKY this afternoon and I can't believe how easy it was to uninstall AOL. I'd read some horror stories about the process & was really nervous. Amazed it went so smoothly. Maybe I shouldn't be gloating just yet but I'm amazed just how much quicker:T my PC is already responding without the AOL software. Wish I'd made the move sooner.

    Well done.

Usually the only solution is to scrap the infected machines. Some advocate nuking them from orbit to be sure.
  • There are forums where expert advise is available for removing all sorts of virus/spy wares so scrapping machines is not necessary.

Why were you even using it?

No AOL software at all is required for your broadband to work.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Try typing AOL into the Search on your computer and you'll realise how much kak the AOL uninstaller leaves behind.

I'm not techie and knew nothing about computers when we signed up to AOL. Have learnt a lot over the years but I'm still learning (the hard way at times). My PC is so much happier without the AOL software. I've had a painless two days and it's such a joy to use my PC without having a nervous breakdown. Plus my McAfee security isn't constantly telling me 'my computer isn't protected'.
