kazzy - I'm in Corfe Mullen (not a million miles away from Poole!!!!). We have recently changed from Sky (basic package at £19.50 a month) to FreeSky at £20.00 for 3 YEARS. There was a big ad in the local freebie Advertiser a few weeks ago and I thought 'well, why not'. I was a doddle to change (despite my cynical thoughts) and seems to work okay! Not as many channels though, but then we didn't watch all the others anyway. Maybe worth a try????
you could have them channels free by just ending your contract that card is the same as the one you alreay have.

Kazzy - a bit late as you've already gone and done it but here is the web site which gives more info http://www.freesatfromsky.com/?pID=1
  • Hi Kazzy, I have e-mailed watchdog about Sky and I sent Sky a letter with copies of my e-mails which included my complaints and also told them that I would be contacting watchdog. Still no reply or apology from them, what a surprise!!! So the more complaints watchdog get the better chance we have to get them featured on the programme.

am fed up of sky also !

tried to cancel movie channels about 6 times now but they still there
i dont watch them but am still being charged for them !!
every time i call they say there is no record of my request!!!!

so - i sent a letter in large print by recorded delivery

the letter was signed for, guess what? still have the movie channels !

just rang them and spoke to "david" (yeah right) in India who didnt have a clue what i was talking about

he didnt even know what recorded delivery was

bearing in mind i asked to be put through to the department who deal with complaints and complex billing queries - it doesnt give me much faith...!!!

so they ship their customer services abroad... give terrible service and dont pass the "savings" onto their customers
infact, they just keep increasing them !!!

am furious - going to give NTL a ring...
