Evidence for Adult Dependents Grant

I'm going to uni in September (undergraduate, non mature) and, amongst other things, have applied for an Adult Dependents Grant as my partner will be living with me and will be in full time Further Education.
Firstly, the SLC have received and sent back my mum's P60, and are now wanting it again as they have no record of receiving it, so we sent that back today.
Secondly they want evidence for the Adult Dependents' Grant, and all the options in the drop down box seem completely inappropriate for our situation. The only one I could possibly do is 'letter explaining dependence', but I'm not exactly sure what to say to them in the aforesaid letter.
What am I meant to do? There's also the 'I can't provide any of this' box but it says if I do that the process will be slowed down.
Thanks.

if your partner will be in f/time eduaction what income if any will they have?0
-
if you are under 25 and not married to your partner, you cannot claim the ADG for them0

Above is correct.0

Ah, erm, ok.
Thanks for that info. I did suspect as much but couldn't find anywhere that would give me a straight answer. What should I do about it now then? Just let SLC say no in their own time?
My OH income would be her EMA and any part time job she gets, woodbine.
Is there any other money we can get that anyone knows of as its £2500ish we're now not getting?0 -
your partner can apply for housing benefit as she is under 19, but your student income may mean that you won't qualify - it would be a joint claim in her name and most of your student income and any part-time work would be included in the claim (EMA is ignored)
other than that, not really
you would ring SFE and say you no longer want to apply for the ADG, though they really should have said straight away that you're not entitled0 -

OK, hmm, are we surprised that SFE didn't do this? :P0 -
Just been through a housing benefit calculator online, only to get to the end and be told that it can't calculate for full time students. I don't suppose you know if there's an income cutoff, or is it more complicated than that?
Thanks again.0 -
sorry, but more complicated than that, uni/college welfare advisors and CAB advisors will be able to do the calcs for you if you go to see them though0
