I can't help but think that in the time it's taken to write 100 reviews, you could have gone out and earned at the very least £30 in cash, which you're not restricted to spending at Amazon.

I think these review sites require a helluva lot of effort for very little reward. Even moreso when situations like this arise.

DooYoo have done this with at least three people I know. And they didn't even copy! I know, I read their reviews.

Anyway DooYoo are a waste of time and I'm sure there are more people in the same position as you. It's just DooYoo's way of not paying out. I think you should complain and then forget about these time wasters.

    I agree with everything said.

I do not bother with them now since they expired all of my points.

Why would anyone want to work for a site that does that?

    I will not.

Nor should anyone else, that way a boycott would make them change their behaviour.
  • Sorry to bring this thread up again guys (I'm new here), but having signed up to DooYoo a couple of weeks ago (through this site's recommendation), they locked some of my reviews saying they "weren't good enough". Is it just me, or are they really quite patronising in their emails? I 'improved' my reviews as best I could (I studied English Language at A-Level so I know how to write a review), and they came back at me saying it still wasn't "suitable". They then go on to say how they 'cannot check every review due to time constraints' - contradiction or what?! They then put at the end of the email "we look forward to receiving your improved review". Sorry, but I just find this very patronising, as if they're talking down to us. It's clear a few other people have experienced problems with them - so can anyone tell me, is it possible to delete an entire account? I did about 5 reviews, but I don't really want to be part of a website that appears to operate in very bizarre ways indeed. I've emailed them but they took an age to respond last time. Thanks, sorry again to bring up an old thread! :)

I can't offer any advice but would just like to say that I have also had a bad experience with Dooyoo saying I gave sub standard reviews and every time I tried to improve them they'd lock me out again, in the end I gave up and will never ever use them again. I am an intelligent and literate person and I was very, very annoyed with the way I was treated. Qype are much better in my opinion, certainly to deal with anyway!

Exactly what they've done with me, they're so patronising. I don't really think MSE should be advertising them on their website to be honest. I'll have a look at Qype :) I'll update when DooYoo email me back (probably with another patronising/rude email). :)
