c**P DIXONS

Bought a fridge freezer on line from Dixons, it was delivered last Thursday but was found to be faulty. Phoned them on Friday to say I wanted a replacement. Dixons told me that they would phone me on Monday morning to give me a delivery date. No call so i phoned them and they said there was nothing they could do as its with head office and they are running 3 days behind. It could be upto a 2weeks to get a replacement. They have been both rude and totally c**p. I am now left with no fridge freezer for 2 weeks!!!
I told them i would be claiming for damaged frozen food but they said I would need receipts of the damaged food to be able to claim!!!!! who keeps receipts from food shopping weeks ago.
Where do i stand here?
does anyone know an email address of one of their directors as this needs to be highlighted.
one of the sales team even gave me a fictitious telephone number, when i rang back the other sales guy said is colleague gave me thi sjust to get me off the phone!!!!! outrageous.
Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if it the wrong forum so feel free to move it mods

Think youself lucky - I ordered a Fridge Freezer from Dixons over 1 month ago and they still can't give me a delivery date when it will be ordered. They took the money from the credit card 1 month ago!0

Dixons customer service has been crap for at least a decade - presumably they're the cheapest for some things otherwise why do people buy from them?.0

problem is they have left me without a fridge freezer0

you dont need receipts.
you need receipts or a picture or witness statement(s).
and you need https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk
you sue dixons or any company like them for less than £700 on a matter where you have some remotely resonable argument and they will pay up. they 'd rather settle without spending anywhere from £500-£1000 on unrecoverable legal costs..0 -
I too had a similar experience but with 2 seperate deliveries in 2 days, 1 a fridgefreezer and the other a dishwasher. Totally frustrated ringing the 0870 number and speaking to people who weren't able or willing to assist I came across the site sayno to 0870. I rang 08000682868 thinking at least I wouldn't be paying for the call and got to speak to a really nice and efficient lady there. She gave me the 0800 number freely and took control of the situation. Whilst my dishwasher is out of stock she has had authorised a replacement which would have cost me £50 more restoring my faith in people. Do ring the number and if you don't have any luck pm me.CHEAP IN COST NOT IN STYLE...0

The irony is that they are very rarely the cheapest and not a lot of leg work will find a number of retailors that sell the same thing cheaper and give better service. The problem is that rightly or wrongly Dixon is a known and respected brand so people feel safe in ordering from them rather than a company they have never heard of before and all they have seen is a websiteAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

The fridgefreezer i bought was definatley the cheapest on the net! with the discount codes and free delivery i could not match it. I know you sometimes get products that are faulty but its just their shocking 'dont care' attitude that lets them down. Their initial delivery of the freezer was first class. Just the after sales that suck0
