Hi sue
When do the CCCS make payments to creditors. I thought it was around the 25th of each month but my plan says the 1st Sept anxious to get some money off to crediitors
Thanks
Hi jackies41 and thank you for your message.
You will make your payment to us on the 1st or the 10th of each month. We then make payments to your creditors on or around the 25th of each month.
Hope this helps.

I have just done the debt remedy and see that i should offer my creditors £1 for now until i can pay more. However i dont think i could explain everything properly on the debt remedy questions. I live with my partner and we have a joint bank account. We both get paid £1100 each per month. Our wages only just cover our bills, food and petrol, these bills include 2 credit cards and 2 loans which are in my partners name however they are actually joint debts. We pay the minimum on these each month and my partner has never missed a payment on anything meaning his credit history is good. However i have a loan, a credit card and an overdraft with lloyds tsb (all 3 are now with different credititors) this was debt that i got into before we got together, at the moment i havent made any payments towards these for about 2 years i really want to sort these out and its now at the stage where its going to go to court (although havent got a ccj or anything yet) just threats.
What i need to know is, i am currently jointly paying the debts in my partners name, but not paying any that are in mine (my credit history was bad before we got together we paid a lot off and these somehow got missed out). If i tried to set up a dmp will i have to stop payiing the minimum balances on the debts that are in my partners name in order to pay more to the ones in mine? i really really dont want to do this and thats why i have never done anything before
please help
xx
Hi and thank you for your message.
I would recommend that you call our Debt Remedy Support team to explain your situation. Their number will be in your advice booklet.
You need to treat all of your creditors fairly, otherwise they will realise that you are showing preferential treatment to some over others. This means that they are less likely to accept reduced payments and go for a CCJ.
Hope this helps.

LauraLou1985 wrote: »I started my DMP with CCCS two months ago, making an initial payment of £40 in July and £124 on the first of August. The £40 was a somewhat of a "token" payment to my three creditors and I'll be paying £124 each month from now on to Egg, Santander and MBNA.
I have heard off MBNA that they have accepted the DMP but yesterday, Saturday 21st, I received a letter from Santander saying that they have been advised that a third party was assissting me with my financial affairs but they have decided to write to me as they have not received a payment for some time. The letter is dated August 17th and it says that if they do not receive some payment within 10 days they will issue a default on my account.
What should I do? Contact CCCS and ask why Santander have not received a payment? I think (but correct me if I'm wrong) that the £124 I paid on August the first is given to my creditors on the 27th of this month but surely they would have received a small payment from the £40 I paid in July? I know the money has gone from my account and my statement from CCCS verifies this. Should I telephone Santander and say this (I don't really want to do that thoough- I'll probably end up agreeing to all sorts, I panic in high pressured situations!!!!! lol!!!!).
Any ideas guys? Thanks.
Hi LauraLou1985 and thank you for your message.
I would recommend that you contact our Client Support team to make sure that the money has gone to the right account.
However, it might be that MBNA are trying to pressure you into making more payments. You should stick to your agreement as you are already offering them as much as you can afford.
If they do issue you with a default, this is a standard part of the debt collection process. It’s just a formal letter to inform you that your account is in arrears and they must issue you with this before they can take any further action. If you would like to read more about the collection process, you can visit our CCCS InfoCentre here: http://www.cccs.co.uk/InfoCentre/EnglandandWales/Creditoraction/Debtcollectionprocess.aspx

Hello
I have to post a message now for some help.
I have gradually filled my two overdrafts total 1500 pounds surviving being unemployed.
I also have a credit card I am paying from my overdrafts £80 a month.
I tried two times to get a balace transfer to another card but the bank computer wont let me as no major regular money has gone in it for over a year.
My unemployment goes on my £20 month overdraft charges and credit card food and bills.
I am at a loss now being unemployed nothing of value to sell how to pay these bills from now on.
I have £20 left for food with my overdraft until my unemployment goes in every two weeks.
I spend £10 daily on food.
The bank wil not let me get an extension until I have a job.
There are not many jobs around here I can go for at all and they dont ome up very often.
I dont have a car
My credit card will not accept less than £80 standing order per month.
If you can help me I can do with some advice pretty sharp.
I have no family to help apart from brother who is more or less in same situation with debts.
Some bills also just came in again.
I only own 20 percent of the house as my brother.
I have sent a debt budget letters from Citizen Advice but the credit card and bank overdraft tend to ignore it

I am being chased for an unsecured debt and the company want me to agree to a voluntary charge on our jointly owned property (there's about £30,000 equity and the debt is about £6,000) and threaten that they will go to court to obtain a charge and thus add costs. What are the pros and cons of this situation - should I accept the voluntary charge?0

Hello, could you give me some advice please.
My son has 4 or 5 payday loans which he is struggling to pay off and things are spiralling out of control. (They total about £1,800) This has been going on for nearly a year and he is getting nowhere and for the last few months he has been unable to meet other needs, rent, council tax etc. I have helped him up to a point but can't really afford to any longer. Can you suggest what his best course of action would be. As his credit rating is poor he is not able to get a personal loan or credit card.
Many thanks

Hi Sewin and thank you for your message.
Without knowing your full situation we cannot provide you with the detailed advice that you need.
I would recommend that you call our free helpline to speak to one of our trained debt counsellors. You can call free on 0800 138 1111, Monday to Friday 08:00-20:00. It would be helpful that when you call you have details ready regarding your income, expenditure and creditors, as this can help speed up the referral process. If you have this information ready it may be possible to refer you directly to a counsellor if one is available, otherwise we will arrange a time that is convenient for you to be called back for an appointment.

Hi Barclls and thank you for your message.
The problem with payday loans is that they need to be cleared quickly. Otherwise the interest mounts up and like you say, can easily spiral out of control.
Your son really needs to draw up a budget showing his income and expenditure to work out how much he can realistically afford to pay each month. He can’t offer them money he hasn’t got, but unfortunately they can still continue to add interest.
It is important that he maintains his payments to his priority bills such as rent and council tax as the consequences of not paying these are worse.
I would recommend that he calls us for an appointment to discuss his situation fully with a debt counsellor. He can call our Helpline free on 0800 138 1111. Lines are open Monday to Friday 08:00-20:00.
