Thanks Mumtoone for your reply - We have done the CCCS online thing and it does suggest a DMP just dont know why Payplan want so much as she only has about £50 surplus at the end when she has paid bills etc but payplan say 100 is the minimum anyone can pay into on a DMP but I dont x
Hello,
It looks like your original question has sorted itself out now. I'm glad that Debt Remedy was useful.
I'm not sure what Payplan's criteria are but we are able to offer DMPs with a monthly payment of less than £100, provided it is the best option to deal with a person's debts.
Hope this helps and thanks to mum2one for replying to your earlier post.

Hi James thanks for your reply
I have already been through the pyplan option with them but mum has not received the paerwork yet or signed anything. Will it be ok to ring CCCS then and change over to you and cancel payplan - or do we have to stick with payplan - thanks for your advice again
It wasn't an IVA with payplan they said the least you pay into was 100 on a DMP which I knew wasnt right as i only paid 92 etc and now 600 -
I have been having problems with Credit since having a CCJ marked against me from my local Credit Union, despite making payments fairly regularly. Anyway, I came to an agreement and have been paying more than the required amount back through a DD that I set up - which I had attempted to put in place before the CCJ was issued - and I have never missed a payment in over 18 months.
My question is; once I pay the amount outstanding, can the CCJ be rescinded or does it stay on my credit report?
Having just checked online and with the CU myself, I've found out that I've already paid back more than I owed originally but still owe them just over £500 despite them using all my shares (roughly £700) to cover some of the outstanding debt - without my consent.0 -
I live with my partner but we are not married and have our finances totally separate.
I have debts of around £15500, which include credit, store cards, loans to install central heating, overdraft etc. I earn £1750 every month after tax and £747 goes toward the minimum payments and another £825 goes towards travel, rent. mobile, pet insurance etc. So it leaves me with around £184, which all pretty much goes on food.
I have tried to apply for a consolidation loan several time over the past 3-4 years but with no success. I am only paying the minimum and the debt does not go down.
I have not assets or savings. Is DMP best option for me as I literally have nothing left once I paid everything?
Also I have completed the DMP questionnaire but it's not accurate as they suggest the payments in most cases so it looked like a had over £600 disposable.
I am getting pretty desperate and extremely worries.:(0 -

I've not personally spoken to anyone who's had a postcard from Allied International Credit but I've googled it and it seems that some people have posted online about this happening but they all seemed to be posted several years ago.
If you are worried I would suggest contacting Allied International Credit, explain how important privacy is for you, request they send correspondence in plain sealed envelopes and tell them you are on a CCCS DMP.
I don't know if they still use postcards but if you're in contact with them already and have requested they don't use this method then I would expect them to respect this.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks James, for this advice and the for my earlier post too. I will do exactly as you say. I feel much more reassured now.0 -
Hi CCCS
Well rang you up today to go through mums debt etc and thankfully they say she can go on a DMP - but we have one question please after the lovely counsellor went through mums budget on the phone we couldnt get things to add up as they said she had 216 spare a month but we worked out prior to the call she would have about 100 spare to give creditors - The counsellor on the phone said that she would send us the budget sheet out etc to us to go through and see what we have missed out etc - So when I got off the phone mum and I went through everything and we have forgotten to add some things into her budget and she also told me that she had bowrrowed some money off a friend and has to pay her back 20 a month (she was worried about telling me)- How do i go about letting the CCCS know that we have missed some things etc and add them on to the final budget do I wait for the pack to come and ring them and explain that we have forgot to add some things in etc or do I ring back now? Will they be able to alter the plan for my mum - the counsellor on the phone said that she could still do a dmp on £100 a month if this was the case but it would take a bit longer to pay back - Mum is in a right panic now worrying that she has to find 216 a month which she has not got - please can you advise thanks -0 -

Hi and welcome to the forum.
It sounds like you would benefit from some free and impartial advice.
The CCJ will be listed on your credit file for six years; you must stick to the terms of the CCJ to ensure no further action is taken by the court.
It sounds like the credit union have used the ‘right of offset’ towards clearing the debt also.
The below blogpost should explain why they didn’t need your consent to take the £700 in shares.

I hope this helps.

Hi win123 and thanks for getting back to us.
There’s no need to panic about this, we wouldn’t force your Mum into making payments she couldn’t afford.
I’d recommend that you wait for the pack to arrive and then go through and amend the budget yourselves before giving us a call back to make the changes.
We have plenty of time to amend the budget before the first payment.
I hope this helps.
