You've started something with the fortune cookies ! !

    I've just found these

I work in Manchester so I'm going to have a look in China Town to see what I can get there. I think it's a fab idea, thanks missjennipenni:beer::beer:

These little boxes are very nice and you can fill them with anything you want!

  • I got my fortune cookies from a chinese supermarket, it was about £1 for a bag of 15. I bought 5 bags, so was only £5. They are the type you get in chinese restaurants, wrapped in foil paper.
  • Just the day guests for me (small box of homemade tablet) and then a party bag for the kids with a selection of (quiet!) things to keep them entertained.

Each one will be on their place setting at the table. How would you pass them out at night??

Am I the only person not having favours? I don't see the point and tbh it's costing enough without giving trinkits to people, half of which will probably be left on the table.

Do I sound really miserable lol?

No, you sound sensible. Mine's only a small do, with a small meal, but I don't see the point in spending money on little bags of stuff that kids will break and adults will leave behind once they've had a beer or two.

Second getting the fortune cookies from local chinese supermarket -they are a lot cheaper and still come in little foils.

Im only having favours for the day guests ,I want to make something so am looking at a few possabilities -bath bombs, candles etc.

However I was speaking to my OH about what to give the men- I asked him what kind of favours he had got at weddings. He said he couldnt remember and in his opinon not to give the men favours and they dont really want them ! Normally he is very generous so I was suprised but Im going with his wishes -just hope the men dont get huffy on me ! lol
