Ahhhh the grabbit board! Love it! Am currently not allowed in though, as I am skint lol.

Ok ok, what it is about planting seeds, giving the garden a tidy, birds singing, sun shining.....that makes me go mental and have to clean anything that stands still momentarily? I have blitzed downstairs, stripped the sofa covers ready to wash, cleaned windows and paintwork, vacuum, sorted the crap drawer  I am shattered now :o

Ahhhh off to finish the kitchen and then I am going to sit and admire my little pots of mud that are snuggled in the hot windowsill :A

Hi folks , haven't been around last few days as have been working like a dog ! Despite this my employers were reluctant to reimburse me for the fact that I had worked late on sunday to help them out and said they would only pay me 2/3rds of what i was owed  Whole office in uproar as we do it out of goodwill and they do not appreciate it  Today they needed help again and everyone refused so they have agreed to pay me all my hours at sunday overtime rate :T But thats it for me , no more goodwill , i will be watching the clock and finishing on time. I am also going to actively job seek as this was the final straw. Sadly there are few jobs at my level due to the cutbacks. (i'm a frontline worker and they seem to be cutting us back and employing more managers  ) Guess who I work for .....:(

OK , rant over. Today I have / will :

    • Checked online banking - not great and 14 days to payday
    • shuffled some money
    • sent payment reminder to ebay buyer who has not paid
    • made a start on the surveys piled up in my inbox
    • Driven with a lead foot for past few days as angry and busy at work, got a lot done but not very mse on the petrol :(
    • Printed off my C.V to update and upload so I can apply for job I have seen tommorow.
Two days off now but lots to do and not much time to relax, DD has been a saint and had a cuppa and my tea waiting when i got in. Now have a huge glass of wine and waiting for holby to start. :j:j

    Night all

    Evening everyone :j

Josie - I get days like that

Hope poorlies feel better soon :(

Can't remember who it was with the old job finishing and new one starting and feeling a bit uncertain? It happened to me last year, and it all turned out ok - and I am sure it will for you as well :D

I haven't managed to post since the weekend because it has been mad at work

    However, today I have managed:

Free lunch at work meeting today :D

Breakfast at home and HM supper - DD and her boyf invited themselves, so I got out of my jacket and diamonds as soon as I got in from work and cooked macaroni cheese with bacon and leeks (ooh get me - not as posh as it sounds. I wore a suit to work today as I had to give a talk at a meeting in London, and wore my mum's old dress ring to give me a bit of an extra confidence boost :D) Sounds good though doesn't it :rotfl::rotfl:

Watching new chicken anxiously, hoping it bonds with existing one. One of my two girls had to be out down :( so OH got me another one.

That is all I managed today apart from work

Goodnight - off to bed now for me, as I was up at 5.30 this morning for a really early train

I too have had a pants day! Let's have a collective sulk!

Did absolutely tons of work over the last few weeks to be ready for when my uni tutor visited school today to observe me teaching and have a general chat - and guess what - he didn't turn up!!!:mad::mad:
He did ring (after when he was supposed to arrive) and rearrange but I was not a happy person.
One of my classes has turned into the class from hell and I'm verging on wanting to chuck them all out too - perhaps I'm too much of a perfectionist and can't stand it when they won't cooperate.
And remembered to pay CC bill - 1 day late (fingers crossed they won't notice - chance would be a fine thing!)

Have done some DFW things but can't be bothered to write them down (sorry:o).

Tomorrow will be a better day for all of us! It has to be!

    Today I have:

    - made ham and pea soup (still cooking actually but smells lush if I say so myself)
    - had row with kids..OK I digress...all OK now (I think)..but everyone overtired and kids not understanding that whilst they are on hols me and OH have to work:(
    - talked seriously to cucumber seeds..only one has germinated so far..poo and they are expensive just about 4 in a pack
    - switched off heating again..am going to have to leave note for family that we do not need the heating on in April!!
    -ate lovely leftovers for tea
    - 2 more eggs from chooks
    - bought lunch for me and colleague but LSD as only spent £6 in all..but see some unauthorised expenditure from OH..have emailed him to query it which will go down well!!;)
    - checked online banking..thats how I rumbled him..
    - used up more toiletries..the bathroom has never looked so sparse..sorry tidy
    - finished up bottle of wine..longest a bottle has stayed open in our house for a long time...does that count as being frugal??:rotfl:
