Tuesday 13th April - What small DFW thing have you done today?

Afternoon all.
Been into town for my fortnightly visit. Very MSE as I only put one hour on the car-park ticket and stuck to that hour.
I have:- done HC overnight on cheap rate electricity
- hung HC on airer (but may put the airer outside so have the same effect as line drying)
- went to Mr T's and spent £70.46 :eek: but that is over 2 weeks food for 3 adults and an elderly cat so works out at about £11 per head per week - and also includes lots of storecupboard stuff we'd run out of so I was pleased with that
- managed to get 6 bags of manure for £15 - normally 3 bags for £12 so bargain
- dig aforementioned manure into allotment plots
- collect DGD from nursery and take her home, which means I get a free dinner (thanks Jo
)
- finish painting garden fence with some wood stain I bought years ago. This will help squeeze another year's life out of the fence!
Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -

Hi everyone :wave:
Thanks for starting the thread josiebabie! I know what you mean about those days. Sometimes everything can be the same around you but you just feel differently about it for some reason! Booo. I always find doing yoga helps me or doing something mundane/repetitive can help clear my mind. Have a nice soak in the bath with a good book and get an early night - that'd be my remedy
{{Hugs to everyone else}}
I'll keep my list short today:
- [STRIKE]LSD - baked spuds for tonight's tea [/STRIKE] Woohoo, NSD!!!
- Haircut using birthday money; call for appt from work
- Lunch from home
- PAD to cc
- Some housework
- Put some coins in the jar from OH's pockets.

ok out of the sheer boredom of being ill at home in bed I just made my meal plan for the whole month (can't eat food so dream of it instead:o) and went onto Mysupermarket and worked out the best deals/cheapest prices. I will go to Lidl before going to Mr S/Mr A
So have food up until Wednesday of next week (need a couple of salad bits buts that's it), and have included 2 boxes of red wine (non essential... or is it???) and the total is £65.20 - i will round up to £70 for those extras that seem to always creap in (:mad:) and have carte blanche to make minor adjustments if some substitutes are available reduced/yellow stickered.
That will mean in total I will have spent £158 on grocery food shopping in April :j:j:j hope I can stick to it.
Ok so have now run out of things to do lying in bed....DF as at 30/12/16

I do it all because I'm scared.

Hi all, hope you feel better soon DNM x
First day of my AL but haven't achieved much. Our neighbours are round cutting their hedge at the moment though, so the garden is looking better without any effort from me.Today I:
1) Took kids to the library. Got some great books including a couple about sewing.
2) Took my mum to the hospital for some tests ahead of her op tomorrow. Took the kids for a picnic by the duck pond while she was in her appointment.
3) Looked in Homebase at wallpaper. (The insurance cheque arrived today, yay!)
4) Popped into the charity shop. Got a Boden top for £2, and a Sims 2 game for B for £1.
5) Am off to a free screening of Date Night tonight with my Mum. Can't wait to see it as I love Steve Carell. Will take own drinks. ( But not sweets as I went to the cinema yesterday and had some, and that is too piggy even for me.)
6) Hokey cokey drying outside.
7) Dinner from stores.
8) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc
Have a lovely day, L x0 -
