Tootles, what an amazing collection of photos. You're an extremely talented & very modest person.
I adore this type of craftwork but haven't got the self discipline to take something like this up. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who starts things & doesn't get them finished. I'm hoping once I retire - probably another 10 years or so - I'll find it a useful & creative way to spend my time.
Can I ask when & where the craft fair is please? I don't live too far from you & would love to come along & see the work you're doing for that if I can.

Tootles, just wanted to add my thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us!! I love to see all craft works, but particularly patchwork and quilting.

I have tried a brief foray into this area, but never seem to find the time, maybe once the last of the kids leave home?:D

I love your amish-inspired quilts, I think they're my absolute favourites. Yes it's very big in the states and of course Canada too. My future DIL, a Canadian, is a curator at the Homer Watson gallery in Kitchener, Ontario. They have many exhibitions of quilting etc there, and she has sent me photos in the past. Some of the quilting has been far more akin to sculpture, a real eye-opener, and wonderful to see.

Anyway, thanks again, you're one VERY talented lady!!:T :T
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Wow Tootles, they are amazing. I have been to the Knitting & Stitching show and they have sometimes had an exhibition of quilts there. I love going looking at them. You are a very talented lady!

Your work is jaw-droppingly fantastic Tootles. You are gifted.
  • Wow, they're amazing! Thanks for sharing them.
It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.
  • Learning quilting is a 'one day' project for me, I've signed up for several courses but they've been cancelled at the last minute.

You've got some lovely work there and to think of all the time involved!!!
