We're having "Last Request" by Paulo Nutini.... which may seem odd as its about breaking up..... but when H2B first stayed over we watched Gavin and Stacey in bed and that song must've stayed in my head from watching it.... I woke up singing it to him, and for the rest of the day at football we both kept singing it and it stuck with us!

No fancy dancing for us though as he's not up for it (he said he'd do it if I really wanted him to, but I don't want him uncomfortable at his own wedding bless him!)

OH wants You & I for our first dance, but we think it may be too mushy.

We were going to have Overjoyed, then we chose Ribbon in the Sky, then it was You & I, but we still haven't decided!

We're massive Stevie fans ~ least we have a good few hundred to choose from! :D

I think You & I is his best ballad. As far as love songs go I would have put it at the top of the least mushy love songs! :p

But you are right about choice - don't think you can really go wrong with Stevie (except maybe I just called to say I love you!).:rotfl:

We love love LOVE this, as it's not as upbeat as the original for a first dance, have you heard it??

This was one of the first things we decided (even though the wedding is next April!).

We're having Stand By Me by Ben.E.King as it's h2b's favourite film and I love the sentiment of it.

No crazy dancing for us either - I'll be impressed if we manage to shuffle round without stumbling over each other!!!

I've heard the Tony Bennett version but not the two together. It's a great version but personally, I've always preferred Stevie's upbeat one. But still a great choice for a first dance.

Been thinking about my 'choice' of songs and I think I'd take it all back and choose All of Me by Joe Williams. Moreso because you can't get it as a recording anywhere. I would love to re-enact the scene where the song appears in from the movie! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6NEGeLHbaI

I'm determined to have a song my OH wrote and recorded for me a couple of years ago, and then slipped into my Valentine's card....would love to put a link to it but have no idea how to upload a plain music file to somewhere like youtube...will need to find a way to make a video of it
