Dont know what we are having, id like to do a dance of some kind, whether it be a ballroom or silly one, rather than us just shuffling round :-)

Agreed, I want to have fun, or at least look fun rather than doing the side to side bob.

That said, I doubt I'd go for a complicated routine, just incase.

I'm thinking of going for someting upbeat rather than too slow & slushy.
Pos Human League - Together in Electric Dreams, although that might be better as a "last dance".
Still over a year to decide though!

Had to resurrect this thread, we decided on our first dance song today. My fiance actually suggested it - I'd never heard it before, but it did make me fill up a bit when he played it! Rose Of My Heart, by Johnny Cash :)

One of my sister's did a rumba as their first dance to Lauren Wood's Fallen. They had a guy on keyboards to sing it and he did a pretty good job.

I only had registry wedding but if I had to chose a song it would be between You and I by Stevie Wonder and It might be you by Stephen bishop

I love that song, was contemplating it for my walking down the aisle song! :) (And pretending I was Julia Roberts in pretty Woman in that gorgeous red dress! lol)

Beatles 'something', but from the 'love' cd which is remixed slightly differently, better than the original album version IMO.

http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=PiUe5u9o9sE&feature=channel after about 50 seconds, amazing how the first few bars of a song can bring back the same feelings of the day!
  • My sisters had I Just Called To Say I Love You by Stevie Wonder and Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.

I think I'd go for a toss up between Everything by Michael Bubl! or the Smash Mouth version of I'm A Believer from the end of the first Shrek film.
