Notso your post about your coffee pot made me giggle (incidentally I cleaned mine too), my cousins family moved here from Zimbabwe in 2006 (for obvious reasons), they brought with them 3 tea pots that had been lovingly packed by the cookboy and nanny. I was visiting just after I arrived here in 2007 and went to put the tea pot in the DW. Big mistake! They hadn’t been washed since they were bought in 1990. The most they got was a swish under the tap.

    00020309.gifNOOOOOOOOOOO!

What a palaver! It looks great......but......it's just blown the trip on the house......and I don't know why...I only cleaned the pot and wiped the rest over....must have been the shock.....shouldn't have blooming joked about it.......

*wanders off twitching, looking for spare coffee machine.........*

Various pairs of shoes/boots/trainers all washed. I'll polish later when they are dry.

    S&S done.

Going to start dinner and clean the kitchen sink and hopefully that will be me almost done for the day.

Very tired as I kept having weird dreams last night and QV woke me up at 5:00 - that so will not be happening again tonight!

  • Hi everyone

Right, panic over. Found spare coffee machine - in loft (amazing how helpful DH can be, and how quick, when caffeine is involved) ;)

Looks like it's not a problem with shiny clean pot after all (after all that kerfuffle!)....the spare machine has tripped the switch as well.....curiouser and curiouser.......

    ......

sorted....it's the outdoor link...turned the waterfall back on at the weekend after it kept tripping the mains over the winter....thought we had fixed it but obviously not. Strange though, the waterfall has been fine all weekend and so has the coffee pot, but this afternoon, it decides to go.....

Anyway, crisis over. Coffee has been made (in new pot - for now). Caffeine has been partaken...and waterfall has been switched off

Right, off for another cuppa... speak to you later....

Valli - We requested a collection for our old suite from the council (possibly the same as yours?) a couple of years ago. It involved so much faff & expense we just sawed it up in the end & DH took it to the waste disposal site he passes on his way to work, a bit at a time.

That's just what has got me - the faff. I don't mind paying someone to come and take it BUT I would like a 'named' day, preferably as soon as possible after I call not a vague 'they'll come in up to 10 days' because up to ten days with two sofas on my front garden I do not want...this isn't (insert name of rundown area to suit) a run down area lol
Surely they can book for areas...

Am still grubbing about online for car insurance...I think, after LAST years failed cashback I shall go for the cheapest and take cashback as a bonus...

    Have washed up though:T:cool:
and put some stuff away, too:T:cool:
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

Sunny day here (well it was - came in when it got cloudy)
Spent an hour in garden Started to tidy the shed and decluttered some rubbish.

Looked in on a friend this morning now got greenhouse envy :rotfl:
Discovered my shed is approx 6'x7' on a concrete raised base - greenhouses come in even numbers 6'x6' or 6'x8'

Mind you I can't afford one anyway. Plus computer is running so slow I'm sure it has a problem (anti-virus checked every day and doesn't need defragging) insert 'confused' smilie (I do miss it)
