Super Unleaded

On my car forum it is commonly said that the extra amount you pay for super is roughly matched by the extra mpg you get, so in theory, it isn't costing you more, you help the environment, and you have to visit the petrol station less often. Win win!
However, I have not yet put my money where my mouth is in case it isn't true

I always use super unleaded the car seems to run smoother with it, and yes £60 of super will do the same mileage as £60 of regular.0

I've never noticed a difference in economy but according to my handbook, the car is down on power without super unleaded. Since I bought the car for the power and am paying insurance for it, I reckoned it would be better to use super unleaded.

Often fill [sorry half fill, a full fill it too expensive] the OH's car for him and I was instructed to only ever use super unleaded as it's recommended.... high performance car also (his pride and joy)In giving

Unless your cars engine requires the higher grade then it's unlikely you will see any benefit using "super" unleaded.
Most, if not all, handbooks will specify the grade of fuel required & using anything "better" is generally money down the drain.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Mine is set up for Super, but then it's set up for driving and not worrying about how much it's costing

I drive an Audi A4 Tfsi Quattro SLine SE and I've just had it remapped so it's pretty tuned to start and the remap a bit of further tuning.
My last car was a BMW Z4 3.0SE and I only put normal unleaded in that.
