What about the birth rate?0

I would describe the 'age of aquarius' as more of an astrological thing, rather than an astronomical event.
The classification of the star groups as humans or animals may be astrological, but the sun's apparent movement through these groups of stars is definitely real.

They gave us paper instead of Gold
wahahaha As an investor, you know that any kind of investment opportunity has its risks, and investing in Stocks or Precious Metals is highly speculative. All of the content I post is for informational purposes only.0 -

I guess it does from our perspective. But the Sun doesn't really move through any groups of stars, a body in space can only be judged as 'moving' when compared to to the motion of other objects. As we move around the Sun it obviously looks as though it is 'moving' through different constellations, but this is just our perspective as we're the celestial body that's moving at a 'faster' rate in comparison with the Sun.p.s. cleaver - ALL paper currencies eventually become worthless.
Okay. But they aren't at the moment, which is good. I definately bought a pint of milk, The Sunday Times and a twix for Mrs C earlier this afternoon and I can confirm that the nice lady at the shop was happy to take my tenner.0 -

The "precession of the equinoxes" is not due to the earth moving around the sun.
It is due to the earth wobbling on its axis.
As for the twix - you know where you can shove that."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

There are many people in integrated energy companies that believe petrol will hit £2.50 a litre by 2012.
When you think that it's just over 18 months away it sounds far fetched, but when you see how quickly petrol prices are rising, it may not be.

Alright, but whatever it is is based on it's bascially just our 'line of sight', based on a load of stuff moving about, whether that's the Earth, Sun or other stars. We then designate names to constellations and then call it the 'Age of X' depending on the direction of our line of sight at any one time. It obviously doesn't mean anything. It's like me lining up my kettle, toaster, fridge and cooker, then moving around the room and when the kettle is lined up with the toaster declaring that "we're in the Age of the Toaster". Which we would be, but it doesn't really have any impact on anything. As for the twix - you know where you can shove that.
It wasn't shoved anywhere. We spent the afternoon doing the garden, so Mrs C made us a cup of tea whilst I popped to the corner shop for some chocolate for her. I didn't have anything, I'm not really in to chocolate.0 -
My Dad is an amateur astronomer and has had a few articles published in journals over the years. He'd be quite ashamed to hear me talking in the style of 'things like the Sun, moving and that, y'know, around, like, other things in a line of sight type thing, you know what I mean?'0
