Santander Flexible ISA Sort Code?

Hi,

I opened a flexible ISA at 3.5% just before the end of the fiscal year, and am looking to deposit my new fiscal year's allowance into the same ISA. However, I never seemed to have received a sort code for my ISA, and was wondering if anyone knows what it is (assuming it is a default sort code common to everyone).

Thanks in advance!

Alliance & Leicester have a central collection account, but I cannot find anything on the Santander website other than it's included in your welcome e-mail. Did you do it over the internet?

Not sure whether this will help but in their "Good news" (application accepted) email to me they advised me as follows:-
    Quote deleted for security reasons
Frankly, you really need to get the correct information from A&L direct - to be on the safe side.

Spoke to Santander, and they said the Flexible ISA sort code is either 09-01-26/27, which they confirmed was the case for me.

Looks like there's a difference between the A&L and Santander versions of the account.

PS> I did it in a branch, hence don't have any emails from them.

OK. Glad you got it sorted.

Not sure I should leave the quote above for too long so have deleted it.

Digressing a little, but yesterday I transferred funds (online) from my HSBC current a/c to my Santander Flexible ISA, and got a message that the funds would be transferred within 2 hours (i.e. faster payment), and the funds still haven't reached their destination.

Anyone know if Santander has problems receiving faster payments on weekends?

Santander seems to have problems doing anything anytime. . .

. . . except, I understand, they're good at giving their customers plenty of lip.

You can use this http://www.ukpayments.org.uk/sort_code_checker/ to check who can/receive faster payments.

If its A&L you are going to (not Abbey but think they are virtually same), the A&L systems are slow to update online - you can get delays of 24 hours just to see cleared transfers appearing in transaction history.

And generally I think over weekends, you get delayed by banks. I tried to do a transfer just this Friday 9th from Halifax using faster payment (its offered me 12th as the date of transfer by direct debit or was it BACs).

Nearly hate Halifax as much as A&L. Barclays are quick and reliable for fast transfers.

My daughter opened a account in branch and all she has is a receipt for paying 3.6k after given them application for isa this was done over 3 weeks ago now

We got another two ISA after hers and we got t&c, cash isa application with our details. I got pin number for card, and online passcode /ebanking code but awaiting a registration number, and OH got a cass card number only

They also made mistakes on is application form of details and DOB
  • Any ISA opened in an old Abbey or B&B branch will have sort code 090127.
