Oi what's wrong with Vauxhall Novas?! My first car Flossie was one of them and I loved her very very much! :P

Ultimate boy racer car! Anyways, update....

LL has allowed me to go. So have saved some pennies. I'm going to drop the court case as I don't really have a hope in hell and just apply to get £150 back. I shouldn't have to pay £150 to get my deposit protected. So all in all, a good job!

If there is no check in inventory, then there is no evidence to allow the landlord to claim any deductions as they cannot be proved...
Not the case - the lack of inventtory it makes it harder but the LL may have other evidence.

this is exactly what a tenant did in one of my houses recently - i had to break in to prevent a fire.......

How would that cause a fire exactly? or are you saying your hobs are not installed correctly?

I really doubt the LL does have anything else. We moved in to the room after another tenant left. There was no inspection carried out when the tenant left or when I moved in.

As for hobs being installed correctly, I know that not all 4 work! Yes I have asked for them to be sorted but not happened yet. Not bothered about this. As for the fire, it's gas so if left on and flame goes out, sparks fly, kaboom!
