re cricket, great result! Shame KP is off home though, mInd you, it is nice he wants to be there when KP-junior pops out!
Sufferring from all my walking yesterday...both back and toe/foot complaining...so will take things easy today.
Still trying to get my head round my friend and "surrogate granny" dying on Friday. Being busy all of yesterday stopped me thinking about it too much, but today I am just lost and rather sad. I can't get a hold of her family to find out funeral arrangements etc, but hope to later on today.
Sorry to be a bit down but just don't seem to be thinking very straight just now.
Enjoy the sunny and dry weather...looks like we won't have much more the rest of the week.
Sorry to hear about your friend...please take care and you are bound to be sad xxx0 -
SF...well done on the work so far ..you'll soon be finished x0

Got 3,755 words out of 4,000 done - still writing the conclusion and need to do an abstract! Getting there, slowly
Sorry, SF, wasn't very clear in my post.
My friend is, or rather, was, my surrogate granny. She used to live next door (had done for nearly 50 years!), and we became close very quickly when we moved here over 14 years ago. As both my grandmothers died ages ago (20 and 43 years ago), she became my "granny", and we had many wonderful times together, as well as a few sad ones.
Thanks for the hugs and kind words both of you.
Well done on your writing SF, you are nearly there! I used to always write too much, and then have to pare it down...it was a good exercise in getting rid off excessive waffle!
Still feeling unsettled...can't seem to have a proper cry yet, don't know why, I usually blub quite easily....It is a bit like when my grandad died when I was 14...it took a few days before the taps turned on.
Off to have an early night....don't feel like catching up on Dr Who and Gardeners' World that I missed ..perhaps another day.
Night, night x

Keiss - remember to grieve when the time feels right, it's an important part of what you are going through.
Well, getting up this morning was a struggle! Definitely had that monday feeling this morning.... and in the process, I forgot to take my lunch to school. D'oh!so got bangers and mash for lunch which was quite yummy
not healthy though..
Got some work done and sorted out more paperwork this evening - how is it half 9 already?!
In other news, I'm fed up with myself. I'm scared to step on the scale... I know I haven't been great lately.Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Had a reasonably good day at school
lessons went okay, got some work done, all good.
I've just checked my moving out fund and the topca$hback money has finally appeared, so it's now standing at £462.85 :j :j The daft thing is, I don't know where that money would have gone if I wasn't transferring it out every month - but it would have disappeared anyway!I looked to see if I could transfer any more money over as I want to hit the £500 mark soon, but can't justify it yet; May is an expensive month.
Today is my 7th NSD of the month, and hopefully tomorrow will be too
Tonight I have to:
-read through essay
- print essay
- print reference list
- print bibliography
- print appendix one
- put photocopies of q standards into right places in folder
- collect car
- print year 8 lesson plan
- print year 9 lesson plan
- alter year 8 plan
and probably more than I can't think of! Better crack on :rotfl:Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Not doing too badly! Now my essay is all done and dusted and printed off and ready to hand in, I'm going to treat myself to a small glass of winegot more work to do as well though... it never ends!

:hello: hypno - I'm feeling slightly better thanks
I know that once I get the other essay out of the way and am winding down to the end of Placement, I'll feel better I think. I just need time to relax and I'm not managing it at the moment!
It would also help if I could magically drop 20lbs..Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
