Me, I do sarcasm. If you can't handle that wait until espresso gets hold of you!
You decided to post an incorrect response based on duff information and 'skim-reading' a massive 8 posts??!!(edit: oh upon re-reading this thread I see your response was because i hadn't noticed that you had already posted the software name when i skim-read it earlier... okay seems less anal now!)

Firefox, when I open Open Office and click on Open Office Org.calc I get the following:
THE REQUESTED OPERATION REQUIRES ELEVATION
It was a free download so do you know what this means?0 -
Jake'sGran - I'm pretty sure you have downloaded and used OpenOffice in the past.
If you have downloaded OpenOffice in the past you will already have what you're looking for - OpenOffice.org Calc
Try looking in Start > All Programs > OpenOffice.org > OpenOffice.org Calc
Please see my late post. I knew there was some reason why I could not use the Open Office Excel type programme. I click it and it says:
"the requested operation requires elevation".0 -
Hi Jake'sGran
Sounds like Vista's UAC (User Account Control).
A quick fix is to right click on 'Open Office Org.calc' and select 'Run as administrator'.
