Padlock stuck in shed - help!

Hi all,
The only key to the padlock on my shed has broken off and the padlock is so rusted that it won't budge, no matter how hard I try!
I have tried to force the lock round with a flathead screwdriver, and have sprayed tonnes of WD40 on it, without any luck. I have also tried using a hammer on the end of the lock, but it doesn't move an inch.
Does anyone have any ideas without the need to use bolt cutters? They seem to be so expensive and I wouldn't have much use for them when I can get into the shed.
Any advice would be welcomed!

hammer and an implement to strike down on the padlock from above
they go all to easy

Cut the wood around the hasp and replace the door?0

any kid around here will break in there, within seconds.Get some gorm.0

What kind of implement would you suggest to use with a hammer?
I think the idea about the hasp is the best so far - I don't think they cost too much to replace.
Just to clarify - it IS my shed!:)0 -

Old chisel or old screw driver . But i would use a grinder myself0 -
most general padlocks are pathetic.
they will break in seconds with a sharp blow from a hammer or will snap off very easy with a prise bar.Get some gorm.0 -
Are the hasp/staple screwed or bolted in and are they visible?
If they are visible then logically you could simply unscrew them or drill through the heads.
However for that very reason they should not be visible. It may, though, be possible to drill through both.
I agree, though, an angle grinder on the lock itself is likely to be best as the lock has no further use to you anyway and if done carefully it should cause no other damage.0 -
Thanks for all the info, folks.
However, I don't think I would be able to borrow an angle grinder from anyone. I saw a set of 200mm bolt cutters on Amazon for about a fiver.
I know these are small cutters but do you think they would do the job?0 -
We use bolt cutters to remove shipping container seals at work our bolt cutters have handles about 2ft long . Seals are about the same thickness as some padlocks not sure if a 200mm set of bolt cutters would give enough leaverage .0
