That hospital is a disgrace, so unclean.
Family member gave birth in there, said the walls and ceiling were covered in blood from the previous patient and no one cleaned it. Urgh.
Also know someone who had a hysterectomy and ended up with continuous infections, probabaly cos of the dirt in the place or something.
The flip side of sanity is the game.

You can complain if that makes you feel better about it. You might not get a very satisfactory response but all complaints are logged and are one of the hospital's performance measurements, so if enough people complain eventually it can lead to change. I complained about my visit to A&E with a broken wrist and got a so-so response, but I did feel better for having made my point.

Your post is a bit confusing though. Was she triaged and then waited 3 hours for the doctor? Or did she have to wait 3 hours before she was even triaged? If it's the latter, you have absolute grounds for complaint as there are tough time limits on the wait time for triage assessment, and this was far over it.

Going in an ambulance makes no difference to how quickly you'll be seen though, it's not taken into account at all, because you get morons who phone for an ambulance just because they've broken one finger or have drunk too much and feel sick.

I hope your relative makes a good recovery, that's the important thing.

Lanarkshire is practically Third World for health care.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

  • I ripped my arm while on my bike a few years back and was patched up and sent by ambulance to A&E. As soon as I was left on the trolley, I kicked my slippers off, put my specs down and went to sleep for 3-4 hours, during which time I was not seen! Nor was I disturbed by the drunk chavs having a fight either.

I survived though, so OP I would sue the NHS if I was you!
