Nappy cake was a success - very well received and no-one had seen one before. They said I should set up a business to sell them - I explained other people already do that!

I think it depends how you grow your veg as to how much you save.....I got over 40 kilos of runner beans off of 10 plants last year....the seeds cost me 99p and I shoved them some £1.49 compost (I've used some of the seeds again this year plus some that I saved from last years beans).
Thats before you even start on the tomatoes and courgettes, peas and strawberries I harvested last year.
You don't need fancy greenhouses etc...just a bit of dirt, some seeds and some water....some will grow - some won't but there's something really, really nice about popping out into the garden to pick your own veg for tea."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

I think you are probably too far away if I remember correctly Judi (I'm in Leeds), otherwise I'd have offered to buy the playhouse from you.
You do get some truly odd people on Freegle/Freecycle. Most are really nice, but some do expect a LOT from someone who is already doing them a favour by giving them something for free."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
