tenmah have you used freecycle alot? I joined last week and contacted someone who was looking for a play house as I have one the kids don't use - they seemed very keen and were going to come this weekend but have heard nothing since - does this happen alot?

It happens far to much! It's always best to get a phone number and make firm plans...they're less likely to mess you around that way....either that or set time limits on replys.

claire - does it depend who's showering? we had a leak but only sometimes - and it didn't make sense - turned out it was dependant on how the showerhead had been angeled by different people in the house! was easily sorted with 10 tonnes of sealannt lol

My sister and I planted a conker sapling when I was about 6, we picked the best spot in the garden....we watched it do nothing....my parents moved from that house 3 years ago and that little sapling had got about 7 foot high......nice to dream tho eh? :T

Yes we have used it alot and unfortunately you get all sorts of people on there, from the very rude to the time wasters but then you also get the very nice and grateful!

they were so sweet about it too! didn't have the heart to tell them that it was unlikely to be as big as them when they leave home!

That is what we do, but as I said earlier, someone had a go at my daughter for moving onto the next person, even though they didn't get back to us

Aww bless you - where abouts are you? I had a feeling you were down south somewhere?

Natasha really wants a playhouse but they are so expensive.

I bought them a trampoline today though as I was intending to take them on holiday last week but haven't been feeling up to it, so I thought that was a good way to make their summer a bit more memorable and fun.

Can't really afford it, but they are such lovely kids and they deserve a treat...plus it's great exercise for them and I can sit in the garden with a glass of wine watching them. :)

Can't wait for it to arrive, but am not as enthusiastic about putting it up. :o
