Moving house, moving broadband, cheapest option

Hi
We're moving house in a week and I'm looking at having broadband at my new place. I'm currently on plusnet and to move my connection they want £52.88 which they say includes a £47 BT provisioning fee (the phone line in the new place is not broadband enabled, but is capable). If I cancel I've got to pay £14.99 to refund my origional porting fee to them, and as I'm on a months notice from next invoice (which is 2 weeks after the move) I'll be paying for about 6 weeks of service I don't use (I could have cancelled earlier but the moving chain has been problematic and we've only just exchanged contracts.)
OK, so - sorry for all the detail! Can anyone suggest a cheaper way of getting broadband at our new place? By cheaper I mean over the course of a year. I'm a fairly heavy user and usually do about 25GB per month  so I'd rather not be without my "fix" for too long. I'm not in love with Plusnet, they've been OK but I don't mind switching. I'm pretty sure the new exchange hasn't been unbundled so I will still need to pay BT monthly line rental.
Cheers,
Mike
