That wont work. As you will see your Paypal account will be locked and you will not be able to accept or make any payments.
Best to start the transfer from your bank to your paypal account.0 -
I to have had this. I withdrew £260 on the 23rd July from my paypal account and then I had paypal withdraw £260 from my paypal account yesterday. I thought that perhaps I had had a charge back, but I have finally recieved an email from paypal explaining the problem and I have had the £260 show up in my bank this morning. I was quite relieved to see this.
I am quite suprised that a large company like paypal have managed to do this. I would not like to be the person at paypal who hit the send button on that one :rotfl:
I do hope that all the people who had monies taken from their bank and depositied in thier paypal accounts who have incurred bank charges claim the charges from paypal.0 -
I had a similar instance where a sum of money was debited and then re-credited folowing the letter of apology for the glitch. However PayPal added a service fee to my account for the mistake!!
I've left them an email and still await their reply...0 -

I just got another email from PayPal - here is a part extract:-
If you log in to your PayPal account and review your ‘History Log’, you may notice that the standard withdrawal fee of £0.25 GBP has been applied as part of this process. We would like to assure you that this amount will be credited to your PayPal account within the next two days.
Once again, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this error may have caused you.0 -
If you have been stung by bank charges because of the fault by paypal then fax a copy of you bank statement showing your charges with your name written on the top right along with your email address/tel number (linked with paypal) and fax it to 0870 730 3199. This was given to me by a paypal customer service rep.
Hope this helps.
P.S It may be an idea just to write a small cover letter explaining the situation and fax this along with your statement."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

The Direct Debit guarantee requires that consequential losses of a DD error are compensated.
Your bank or bs are ultimately responsible for providing this compensation. It is upto them to chase the originator if they wish to.0
