It's not cheap, there are several others available, I'd try a search for data recovery software.

It looks like you can download a trial, it may just show you enough details you need, without it actually putting the data back.

I dont know the ins and out of your computer crash and this wont help you much but hopfully it will help someone else.

The last thing you ever want to do is reformat your harddisk if you have a problem like you describe. It worth finding a good reliable computer person to help wen things go wrong. I would say all the years my dad has been doing computer help for people (which is about 10 -15 years) we have probably only not been able to recover data off one or two "broken" hard disks. even if the operating system will not load you data is very important and you can normally stick it in another machine and copy off what you really need before reinstalling

We once used vogon data recovery and they got most of the data back. But I dont think that is a cheap option!

If you are thinking of leaving a copy of emails on the server. You should check out the terms of whoever is hosting your Pop3 accounts (whether it's your ISP or a hosting company). Some of them specify that you don't leave a copy on their servers.

I hope you're not using the same computer at the moment, the more you use it, the more of the original data will be permanently written over, and that data will never be recovered. If you are serious about data recovery make sure your computer stays switched off until you've decided what you want to do with recovery software/services.

Thanks Guys ,had a go at the above and it came up with some files, which aint got clue what they are,but moved them to backups.
Will then try and get someone to check them.
    Scaper,oh dear!!.
Yes I have been using it.
The strange thing is everything was ok,pages loading fine, then Friday the whole lot slowed down to a snail pace.
The HDD I know was at least 75% free,I use AGV Prof Firewall and Virus scan etc,
Since "fixing" itself yesterday, pages are loading really quick as they were before friday.
Comps only used for search and holding details of bookings.
No music or films are stored on it.
Think I might have got a virus ,????
Would that still stay on comp hidden even after the "wipe out"??
