If you have formatted your drive and freshly reinstalled, and your email is POP3/SMTP email and you have (by default) set the email program to delete the emails of the email server once downloaded to your computer, then you have lost them.

You can set your email client not to delete emails from the server, once they are downloaded to your system, but you would run out of space on the email server, you could choose to delete say after 3, 5, 7 or whatever days just to be on the safe side in the future.

When someone sends you an email it goes from their computer to their email server (be it their ISP or domain-email provider) it then gets sent to your email server (be it your ISP or domain-email provider) it remains on that server until your email program connects and checks whether there are any email waiting for you, if there is it will download the emails and once downloaded without problem delete them off the server, to make space for any new emails, this is why if you haven't connected to the internet for a week or more, you end up with hundreds of emails.

As said previously you can set the email program not to delete the emails after downloading, but your ISP or domain/email provider has set a mailbox size limit, and you may find it will soon get full, there needs to be a limit otherwise they would soon run need to had more and more storage, you could work out roughly how much emails you get coming in and set your email program to not delete emails for a few days after downloading.

Though unfortunately it is too late for the emails / details you have lost just.

Are these folders on the HDD you have formatted?

If so, there is a slim possibility that they could be recovered, depends on if the reload has overwritten the part of the drive where the data is, it would cost a lot of money for a data recovery company to try and get at that data, and there is a high chance they'd have no luck, as really it's when a drive has 'failed' and fresh/other data hasn't overwritten what is on the drive.

There are programs that allow you to undo the format, but you could find loads of corrupt files on the disc as a lot of the data/links are missing.

It's worth asking as they would probably back up their systems.

Thanks, hope you have a good weekend too!

They were/are on the HDD that was formatted.
Another thought,if these programes undo the format,I could salvage the client data??
    If links missing,then could reformat,Yes??
    Sorry to be a pain.

There is the chance you could salvage the data, depends if the reload has overwritten the part of the HDD or not of where the client data was.
