TSR Consultants - work from home scam?

Hi. A friend of mine received an email after logging her details on various job websites. This sounds dodgy to me (especially as they want money for a start up fee) - anyway, I thought I'd post the email here just to warn people - or, get peoples feedback?

This means that your taxes will not be taken out; therefore, you will not be provided with any tax forms. THIS IS ENTIRELY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. The training provided will go more information about what to do with your taxes.
You will receive your pay through Nochex a high security payment system, or whichever online payment portal you choose (i.e. PayPal or Google checkout). When an application is completed, £10.00 ($22.80, €16.72) will be credited to your account, which can be withdrawn into your bank account at your leisure. We use Nochex because they are certified as a Small Electronic Money Issuer by the Financial Services Authority

There is a one-time non-refundable fee for the training package, £9.99
This includes all processing fees and training costs. We offer professional online support for as long as you may need us. This is a one-time fee, and there will be no other charges to you.
We must accept this fee to cover training costs, processing fees, as well as to ensure that only serious applicants apply. This is a non-refundable fee, so be sure that you understand what you are doing before sending in your payment for the training materials.
This fee will not be waived for anyone, and cannot be deducted from your first pay. This is because if you do not process applications, you will not have a first pay, and we will have already taken the time to set you up, and train you.

It is mainly an Admin and Data Entry Role which is a work from home role. Working from home takes a lot of dedication so you must be a self starter and motivated. The role available is either part time or full time, which ever is most suitable as we are looking for more than 1 position to be filled. If you are looking for part time, however, a minimum of 10 hours per week is required. On a full time basis, the role would be approximately 40 hours per week. You would be looking to make around £35,000 per annum on a full time basis, prorated roughly to the hours at which your work so around £17 per hour.

ha...sounds like a scam to me. What rubbish. is anyone going to pay someone with no experience, 'minimal skills' £35k a year? Add to that the training up-front fee (classic scam)...and the warning that you must be able to follow detailsed instructions to do the work properly...sounds like an update on the old envelope typing scam.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Thanks so much for posting this info - just received one of these e-mails myself. Being suspicious and cynical I googled TSR as I won't respond to e-mail addresses I don't recognise and this forum came up!
The annoying thing is that they try to hook you with no mention of fees in the first e-mail.
It would be interesting to know which job site they use to obtain e-mail addresses from! I thought there were restrictions on who could look at posted CV's.0 -

If you search the address on that page a company called TSS Conservatories comes up. I can't post links but this company can be found on the checksure site.
I think this is highly suspicious and doubt that TSR Consultants are even a real company0
