I've just received an e-mail from these people its a plain text one like the others on here. I have not contacted these people about work. however I did apply for a job on a website not long ago and was waiting for a reply from them but got this e-mail instead, I've mark it as junk, as I didn't apply for it in the first place. I won't be leaving any details on that website again. and I'm not actually sure about this site either! And like some people here have done a search on the web for more info on this company I did the same and came to this forum. thanks for your comments.

    Hi All,

I to just recieved this email or one like it from a Richard at TSR. I am a web Multimedia Professional looking for work and it took me for a few seconds as it sounded all nice, until i started to think and remember my training. Let me share points to look out for with scam emails. Take notes this stuff is serious.

    1. Scammers don't normally get your name if at all right, notice its says Hi. I wont even give my friends 9.99 and they know my name much less some loser who can't have the respect to address me proper.

    2. Notice the amount of emphasis on the fee: see below
    - There is a one-time non-refundable fee for the training package, £9.99
    - This fee will not be waived for anyone, and cannot be deducted from your first pay
    - There is a one-time non-refundable fee for the training package, £9.99
This includes all processing fees and training costs. We offer professional online support for as long as you may need us. This is a one-time fee, and there will be no other charges to you.

As you can see they only want your FEE. Multiply £9.99 by 10,000 persons £99,900. You get the picture dont contribute to that.

    3. Notice always that who starts these letters never finishes them properly ever give you an address and telephone numbers.

No one should be silly enough to think about sending their monies to any one or company who is not serious enough to give you their contact details and address. Where's there commitment to your possible investment.
Yet if you read carefully they emphasize who you must be serious to move forward.

I hope these few things help, there's tuns more flaws in those emails starting with just plain unprofessionalism.

As for the recruitment sites and or people that are leaking our emails to these critters. that can be play out in one of two ways, its disgusting and also a misfortune. As some actual fake entities create ads and post fake roles on top job sites. Also quite a few more slick tricks they have up there sleeves.

Finally if your jobless always remember as a rule of thumb, that you dont have money to send to no fool who already knows you cant pay. So stay broke and smart until you're smiling and rich. lol

I have received a similar e-mail. I expected it to be from the same company as it is almost identical! I would say it is a scam!

I have enquired about another work at home position, with a training fee of £10, but they deduct it from your first pay packet. If you ask me, that is how it should be done!

this thread is now second on google for a search of tsr consultants, lol
  • 145-157 St Johns Street, London is a building called Crusader House. There are several companies listed, including on the 2nd floor one called Enable-UK

I got the same email from richard at remoteconsult and took a chance with it. It's only a tenner and if it was a scam it's not going to ruin my day. It turns out to be a genuine job although I don't think I will ever earn 35k. It is working for a new website therecruitmentpages.com My job is to sell advertising space to recruitment agencies. The training pack is just a word document explaining what the companies aims are and advising different ways to earn my money.

I couldn't see the problem with paying for "training" as many companies charge a lot more. For example SkillsCentres charge for training plumbers and I seen 2 day training courses for locksmiths at £500.

They charged you a tenner for "just a word document". And if you click on the "Work with us" link on their web site you will see it says "(Training Provided by TSR Consultants)"

There's a difference between training to be a plumber or a locksmith and being given "just a word document" to read.

Sorry but we can see you for what you really are.

Edit: Forgot to mention, you don't actually have a job, if you read the site properly you will see that it says

"You will not have a salary or be classed as an employee. You will be paid per application completed for the sign up of advertising space sold on the site."

I'm classed as self-employed and can work any hours I choose. I've given myself the job title of Independent Marketing Consultant. Basically I can ask any amount from the recrutiment agent and I just pass on the agents fee to make the advert live on the website.

The other thing that makes it not a scam is that the recruitment agents will be paying me directly, I then pass the agents fee on to TheRecruitmentPages. I'm not unwittingly scamming them by asking them to send money direct to the website and hoping for my commission.
  • Still not convinced this was a scam because I haven't been asked for additional monies, but the whole thing has been a waste of time. Only about 1 in 100 agencies reply to my sales email and those that might be interested want at least 3 months free advertising trial. Because I'd have to pay £20 to upload their ad, I would be losing money. This "job" had been a non-starter.

Maybe the scam was to get people more thick than me to upload agencies ads knowing the recruitmentpages.com website would never be updated. Therefore the recruitment agents would never go beyond their free trial.
